April 2026 – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Blueground, the global proptech company operating one of the world’s largest curated networks of fully furnished apartments for 30+ day stays, has officially launched in Kuala Lumpur, marking its entry into the Malaysian market and further expanding its footprint across Asia.
Through a strategic partnership with Soulasia Group, a local hospitality operator, Blueground will offer move-in ready apartment in prime locations such as KLCC and Bukit Bintang, as well as fast growing neighborhoods like Mont Kiara, KL Sentral and Desa Park City.
Designed for stays from one month to a year or longer, the launch targets relocating professionals, project teams, expatriates, long-stay leisure guests and Malaysians traveling from other states to Kuala Lumpur for projects, training or temporary assignments.
“Kuala Lumpur is a natural next step for Blueground in Asia, after our launch in Tokyo and Seoul,” said Christos Misailidis, Head APAC, Blueground. “The city has a growing community of professionals and a steady flow of people coming in for medium-term work and projects. Our mission is simple: to make it as easy to move into a new city as it is to book a flight – you choose your apartment, sign online, arrive and you’re home.”
Blueground apartments in Kuala Lumpur are professionally designed and fully equipped, including high-speed Wi-Fi, a fully fitted kitchen, quality linens, in-unit laundry (where available) and dedicated workspaces. Guests can search, book, extend and manage their stay digitally, while ongoing support, cleaning and maintenance requests are handled through Blueground’s app.
“Our goal is to bring KL to a new standard of mid- and long-term living,” said Dato’ Ameer Ali Abas, Chief Executive Officer, Blueground. “For years, guests in Malaysia have had to choose between long, rigid leases or short-stay platforms that were not built for longer living transitions. With Blueground, you can land in Kuala Lumpur, unlock your door and feel like the apartment has been waiting for you. Everything is ready from day one.”
Operating under Blueground’s global brand and standards, the Kuala Lumpur portfolio will initially focus on high-demand business and lifestyle districts including KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Mont Kiara, KL Sentral and Desa Park City, with plans to further expand across the city over the coming years.
Each apartment follows Blueground’s global design and quality playbook, ensuring a consistent experience for guests already familiar with the brand in cities such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, New York, London and others.
For corporate clients, Blueground provides an alternative to traditional corporate housing and hotels: flexible terms starting from one-month, predictable monthly pricing and a network of apartments that can be scaled up or down as project needs change. Companies consolidate employee housing into a single, tech-enabled platform while giving their teams a higher quality of everyday living.
On the property owner’s side, the partnership brings together global rental expertise, design standards and technology with on-the-ground operational knowhow. Landlords benefit from a professional, institutional-grade tenant and long-term income, while Blueground manages furnishing, marketing, guests’ relations and day-to-day operations.
“We see Kuala Lumpur as a long-terms strategic market,” added Dato’ Ameer. “We are building a portfolio that reflects the best of both worlds – global consistency and local understanding.”
Guests in Kuala Lumpur will experience Blueground’s global promise to “feel at home, free to roam” with the flexibility to extend stays, change apartments or explore other Blueground cities as their work and life evolves.
