UMLand Leads Media On A Food Finding Journey

JOHOR BAHRU, 26 October– In celebration of the diverse and delicious food in Johor, United Malayan Land Bhd (UMLand) and top food blogger, Tony Johor Kaki, led a group of journalists on an amazing food discovery journey throughout the Johor Bahru city centre today.

The journalists started their journey at Hiap Joo Bakery, where they sampled the most delicious banana cake that has been baked the same way since the bakery was established in 1919. They then traipsed over to Anjung Selera Larkin to have the hearty Kacang Pool Haji before sitting down at Roslin Beriani House for some traditional rendang.

They ended their food trail at Cendol House with a delightful bowl of Cendol and Restaurant Kam Long for some typical old style curry fish head. The trail was inspired by the recently released food guide, Find Dining with Johor Kaki, which was sponsored by UMLand and developed by Johor Kaki.

The food guide was conceptualised as a road map for foodies, tourists, and even locals to discover all the tasty and tantalising delights Johor has to offer. Michael Cheng, Group Director of Sales, Marketing and Communications, UMLand said, “We are delighted to host this unique food finding journey alongside Tony as it provides us with an opportunity to solidify our close relationship with the members of the media in Johor.

As a developer with strong roots in Johor, it was indeed heartening to discover and share some of the best places to eat in Johor.” “In line with our vision for the future, we will continue to concentrate on building top-notch projects while paying particular attention to the community surrounding our developments. The one thing that can easily bring people from all-walks-of-lives together is food. It is based on this vision and the importance of family and community is to our Asian roots that UMLand has decided to organise this culinary adventure.”

“At UMLand, we believe in building a distinctive culture to champion innovative and lifestyleoriented products and services. Our collaboration with Tony is one such example, as we believe that successful and world-class developments must be surrounded by attractions that the entire community can be proud of,” he concluded.
