15 July,SELANGOR – UEM Sunrise Berhad (“UEM Sunrise” or the “Company”), one of Malaysia’s leading developers, held its “Begonia Handover Celebration” for its valued purchasers of Begonia homes, the first handover of vacant possession for Serene Heights Bangi development. The ceremony, held at Serene Heights sales gallery was followed by an exciting and fun-filled Hari Raya festivity, where more than 1,000 guests, including the Company’s Loyalty Cardmembers- Trésorians, invited guests and the public joined in.

The Serene Heights – Begonia Handover Celebration was graced by Semenyih State Assemblyman, Tuan Bakthiar Mohd Nor, who was accompanied by UEM Sunrise’s Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib; its Chief Operating Officer, Dato’ Roslan Ibrahim; Chief Financial Officer, Mohamed Rastam Shahrom; Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Wong, Project Director-Central 1, Zulkifly Garib; and other Senior Management team.

Prior to the excitement and merriment of the festivity, Tuan Bakhtiar Mohd Nor handed over the mock-up keys to eight selected purchasers of Begonia on stage.

Anwar Syahrin said, “We at UEM Sunrise are happy and proud to hand-over the first vacant possession of our Serene Heights development to purchasers of Begonia units, today. Begonia received positive take-ups during its initial launch in June 2015 and we congratulate and welcome our Begonia purchasers for the support and confidence in our properties. Begonia owners may now enjoy the serenity and the pristine landscapes that we have created within this environment, exclusively for them.

“Begonia sits on a 15.46 acre of land with a GDV of RM170.6 million. Begonia comprises 153 units of double-storey terrace houses with lot sizes varying from 22’x70’ for intermediate units at 2,204 sq ft; and 22’x75’ for end/corner/angular lot units ranging from 2,380 sq ft to 2,756 sq ft each.

“Our 121 units Acacia homes and 153 units Begonia homes were actually launched simultaneously in June 2015 and both the phases were snapped up like hot cakes within two days. Likewise, our 162 units of Camelia homes, launched in August 2016, are also fully taken up. Our 170 units of Dahlia homes, launched in July 2017, has already seen 80% take-up for Dahlia 1 (total units – 92) and 55% take-up for Dahlia 2 (total units 78). We are confident the remaining units of Dahlia homes will be snapped up soon.

“Today, we have opened up registration for our upcoming phase called Eugenia, which we plan to launch in September 2018. Eugenia comprises 84 units and commands a GDV of RM62.8 mil. The selling price ranges from RM658,800 to RM1,042,800 per unit.

“UEM Sunrise is also offering the “Houzkey” scheme for Serene Heights Bangi development – a special collaboration with Maybank for easy financing for purchasers. HouzKEY is specially designed to assist those who have difficulties in attaining home ownership due to the high initial cost. The key features of HouzKEY includes; low initial investment for your dream home, where only three months security deposit is required; customer can rent throughout the full tenure offered and they can choose to migrate to a mortgage facility when they are ready. Option to purchase the property doesn’t lapse until end of tenure; and customer can apply online and approval is within 24 hours. Through this scheme, the Company managed to generate interest among purchasers and have concluded several sales for its Acacia, Begonia and Dahlia homes,” said Anwar Syahrin during his speech.

At the Hari Raya Open House, the Trésorians, invited guests and the public were entertained with special appearances by actress and the Pink Lady ambassador of Baskin-Robbins Malaysia, Amyra Rosli, who surprised fellow attendees with a meet and greet session; Malaysian stand-up comedian Helmi the Gimmick as the event’s official emcee; and performances by Caliph Busker, a local busking group with visual impairment brought to the music industry by KRU’s Edry. Children were given Duit Raya and provided with fun-filled games such as 9D – VR Simulator, electric scooters, Carnival Games with prizes, retro arcade games, batik painting and many other activities.
