1 July, KUALA LUMPUR – Samanea Malaysia, a subsidiary of Singapore-based Samanea Group, officially launched its first international Home Living Centre in Glo Damansara Mall, Kuala Lumpur. Housing over 50 local and international brands, Samanea Malaysia is poised to give greater options and fresh ideas to consumers looking to add a touch of newness or fully transform homes, offices, and even commercial spaces.
“A thoughtfully designed interior gives a space personality and the ability to shape the mood of its occupants. Be it a room, office, or home, today’s self-made, goal-oriented generation can now have their ideally designed haven realised with the grand launch of Samanea Malaysia here in Glo Damansara,” said Samanea Malaysia Director, Shaun Chong at the opening ceremony.
Samanea Malaysia occupies 180,000 sq ft, comprising 100 shop units, populating four floors from the ground level up to the third level of the mall. With an investment of RM20 million in this Home Living Centre, Samanea Malaysia emphasised on attracting brands known for placing quality as a priority and their capability to offer unique product concepts in order to present consumers a different approach to design.
“What consumers can expect at Samanea Malaysia is an opportunity to be inspired by the ideas showcased by our brands, which are refreshed regularly. We understand the challenge consumers face especially in searching for quality items at competitive prices. This is where the convenience of having a one-stop home and living centre helps make the experience a smooth and enjoyable process,” said Chong.

One of the key highlights of Samanea Malaysia is the LSDD enabled by Lazada, an Online-to-Offline (O2O) experience store, located on the third level of the mall, which displays home living products and furniture. The O2O experience store helps consumers make informed purchases by enabling them to physically explore products viewed on the Lazada online platform. This strategic collaboration positions Samanea Malaysia as one of the first centers to integrate the best of both worlds; Online-to-Offline (O2O) stores and traditional brick-and-mortar stores.
“We have a healthy occupancy rate of 50 per cent of the overall 100 units currently. We expect to achieve 90 per cent occupancy by the end of this year. Additionally, we expect to begin work on phase two of the LSDD experience store enabled by Lazada which will see a wider range of offerings made available to consumers. The LSDD experience store enabled by Lazada serves as a professional one-stop e-commerce platform solution which helps boost small businesses by enabling cross-border sales. Our next group of tenants are progressing well in the renovation phase currently and will be ready for consumers to explore in the next few months,” said Chong.
Among the range of brands consumers can expect to view, touch and experience include Poet, a Danish conceptual furniture brand; ergonomic and luxury bedding expert, DeRUCCI; Huida, a bathroom sanitary ware and tiles brand; and Timeless Design. Local favourite, Fella Design, as well as, Urban Edge, Tamu, SweetDream, and Englander, Atrium, DeCasa Marble are also brands to look out for.
The official opening of Samanea Malaysia was also attended by Samanea Group President, Mr KC Zhang, and Group Managing Director and CEO of Glomac Berhad, Yang Berbahagia Datuk Seri F.D. Iskandar.
