20 September, JOHOR BAHRU – Mah Sing Group Berhad (Mah Sing) and Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology (NMIT) announced their partnership today to provide fully furnished accommodations for the students of NMIT. Mah Sing’s first integrated development in Iskandar Puteri, Meridin@Medini will be the selected student accommodation provider for the educational institution.
The partnership was announced at the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony at Ramada Meridin, Johor Bahru. In attendance were Mah Sing’s Senior General Manager of Development (Southern Region), Benjamin Ong and Director of NMIT, Dr. Mohd Farhan bin Dato’ Capt. Razali.
Meridin@Medini is strategically located just 20 minutes away from NMIT and there will be two-way shuttle bus services from Meridin@Medini to EduCity and UTC Johor for the students. The students can move in immediately without hassle as all of the units are fully furnished. Other than being close to the institute, students will also get to experience the full recreational facilities in Meridin@Medini such as the swimming pool, gym, community centre, meeting rooms, tennis court, and other facilities. They will have access to the Meridin Walk Lifestyle Mall that can meet their shopping, dining and entertainment needs. The security aspect of the student accommodation is also well taken care of with the key card system being introduced to control the access to the accommodation. Mah Sing is also committed in providing High Speed Internet for Meridin@Medini which will benefit both students and residents of the development.

Meridin@Medini to be key commercial hub in Iskandar Puteri
Besides being just 20-minute drive to NMIT, Meridin@Medini is nestled in the heart of the Iskandar Puteri region. The development fronts the protocol road to Kota Iskandar and is only 10.8km from the Tuas- Singapore Second Link and 22km from Johor Bahru City Centre and the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex (CIQ).
