Its weigh-and-pay system offers cash for recyclables, and it is hoped that this would encourage waste segregation and recycling practices amongst the Puchong community, thus diverting waste from landfills. In the long-term, KITACycle aims to encourage sustainable lifestyles, whereby waste segregation and recycling becomes second nature.

In IOI Properties Group, we believe that collective effort in collaboration with business partners, tenants and the local authorities, together with active participation from the community in diverting waste from landfills would create a significant impact in the mitigation of climate change. Hence, we will endeavour to work closely with the local authorities and activate on-ground and social media activities in enhancing its engagement with the local community in order to continuously raise awareness and to inculcate the culture of recycling. We strongly believe that if all of us make sustainable lifestyle choices, we will be able to contribute to ensuring a sustainable environment for future generations.
