Samalaju Industrial Park Opens its Doors To SMEs & Investors

Samalaju Industrial Park (SIP) for the first time is giving SMI/SMEs the opportunity to be part of its dynamic growth with the introduction of Samalaju Central, a 3-storey commercial shop offices development project located in SIP. With prices starting from RM990,000, these lots serve as ideal business locations  for the provision of support services to the heavy industries within the park and its growing population.

Samalaju Industrial Park (SIP) is one of Sarawak’s Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE)’s 5 key areas of development. SIP has been designated for the development of heavy and energy intensive industries and currently houses companies engaged in aluminium smelters, steel, oil refineries, silica-based industries, marine engineering and other industrial and commercial activities. SIP is located on 7,000 hectares of land on the North West of Sarawak coast, approximately 60km from Bintulu.

SIP is known within the heavy industry sector as the engine room of SCORE as a number of local and international manufacturing industries have established a presence here to take advantage of the competitively priced energy and supporting infrastructure projects initiated by the State government and managed by the Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA). Sarawak Energy Bhd supplies energy to investors and service providers in SIP from the Bakun Hydroelectric Dam.
