- Tropicana Foundation joins forces with VitaHealth and SifuTutor to help underprivileged students bridge learning gaps, excel in SPM and prepare for life after SPM
- The inaugural three-month Youth Forward programme provides door-to-door tuition, career counselling and life skills mentorship for 36 students across four Klang Valley welfare homes.

Petaling Jaya (31 July 2026) – Tropicana Foundation, the community arm of Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana” or the “Group”), has launched Youth Forward, its flagship youth development programme aimed at equipping underprivileged students with the knowledge, confidence and essential life skills to succeed academically and transition into adulthood.
Running from 1 August to 31 October 2026, the inaugural three-month pilot programme will support 36 Form 4 and Form 5 students from four welfare homes across the Klang Valley through intensive Mathematics and Science tuition conducted directly at the homes. Beyond academic learning, students will also benefit from career counselling, social skills development and mentorship designed to strengthen their readiness for the SPM examination while preparing them for the next stage of their lives after SPM, whether through higher education, future employment or life after secondary school.
Recognising that many youths from welfare homes face disrupted learning, limited educational resources and uncertain pathways after SPM, Youth Forward seeks to bridge these gaps by providing structured academic support alongside holistic personal development. The programme aims to empower students with stronger academic foundations, greater self-confidence and the practical life skills needed to build brighter futures.
A SHARED COMMITMENT TO YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
The programme is delivered through a strategic collaboration with VitaHealth, the Programme Partner, and SifuTutor, the official Education Partner. Together, the three organisations combine corporate philanthropy, student wellbeing and quality education to create a meaningful support ecosystem that empowers underprivileged youths to achieve their full potential.
Serena Lim, Programme Director of Tropicana Foundation, shared, “Youth Forward marks Tropicana Foundation’s inaugural flagship education programme and reflects our belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to realise their full potential, regardless of their background. For this first phase, we have identified 36 students who require additional academic and personal development support. Beyond helping them achieve better SPM results, we hope to equip them with the confidence, resilience and life skills needed to navigate the next stage of their lives, whether they choose to pursue higher education or enter the workforce. This is about creating opportunities that can transform lives.” “As we look towards Phase 2, we warmly welcome more corporate partners, educational institutions and like-minded organisations to join us in expanding Youth Forward and creating a lasting impact for more underprivileged youths across Malaysia.” “Good health plays an important role in helping students learn, grow, and pursue their dreams.
We are proud to partner with Tropicana Foundation once again to support these students through a programme that nurtures both their wellbeing and academic journey. Together, we hope to inspire confidence, create opportunities, and help build a healthier, brighter future,” said Dr KS Beh, CEO of Vita Life Sciences Malaysia & Singapore.
Syamil Yusoff, CEO of Sifu Edu & Learning (“SifuTutor”), added, “Education has the power to change lives. Through Youth Forward, we are committed to helping students strengthen their academic foundation, improve their confidence and prepare for one of the most important milestones in their education. Every child deserves access to quality learning opportunities and the chance to fulfil their potential.”
The inaugural pilot programme currently benefits students from Yayasan Sunbeams Home, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Klang, Rumah Hope and Yayasan Wardatul Jannah.
Looking ahead, Tropicana Foundation aims to progressively expand Youth Forward into a comprehensive youth empowerment platform encompassing academic enrichment, mentorship, career exposure, financial literacy and life skills development, while exploring collaborations that can provide students with greater opportunities for scholarships, higher education and future employment.
The Foundation also welcomes corporations, educational institutions and strategic partners to collaborate in expanding the programme’s reach and impact, empowering more underprivileged youths across Malaysia to build brighter futures.
