26 February, KUALA LUMPUR – The signing ceremony to appoint Wyndham Hotel & Resorts as the management company of D’Rapport Residences and Wyndham Acmar Klang Hotel took place today. D’Rapport Residences is Acmar Group’s flagship luxury condominium development while Wyndham Acmar Klang Hotel will be the Royal Town of Klang’s first upscale hotel. This event marks a new milestone for Acmar Group that is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
The Acmar Group, which has built its reputation on developing the integrated township of Klang, is expanding its presence in the luxury and hospitality sector, with the scheduled opening of Wyndham Acmar Klang Hotel in the third quarter and the completion of D’Rapport Residences at the end of the year.

The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Yang Berhormat Puan Hajjah Zuraida Binti Kamaruddin, the Minister of Housing and Local Government. Also present were members of the group’s Board of Director including Group Chairman Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Abd. Samad bin Maharudin, Group Managing Director Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Steven Tee, JP and Group Executive Director Mr. Johnson Tee, JP.
The appointment of Wyndham Hotel & Resorts was officiated by the traditional acrobatic lion dance performance by Kun Seng Keng, the world champion that has won 55 international championships. Their ground-breaking performance received standing ovation from the audience on this auspicious day in Acmar Group’s history. The Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Alwin Tee and the President of Wyndham Hotel & Resorts SEA, Pacific-rim, Mr. Ooi Joon Aun, were invited to address invited guests from different parts of the world.

Mr. Ooi Joon Aun elaborates that Wyndham Acmar Klang Hotel will offer 300 rooms and 188 residences as well as a wide selection of food and beverage options that would meet every expectation of guests and visitors. The hotel will be the venue for conventions and events in the Royal Town of Klang with its 8 fully equipped meeting rooms and a Grand Ballroom that fits up to 2200 people.
Yang Berhormat Puan Hajjah Zuraida Binti Kamaruddin, the Minister of Housing and Local Government was also invited on stage to address the guests. She emphasized on the importance of partnership in enabling long-term organization success and national prosperity. She believes Acmar Group’s projects will contribute to the country’s economy, creating job opportunities and boost business especially in the Klang district.
