If you want to broaden your house or investment search and include residential properties close to the other stations under MRT Putrajaya Line, be glad to know that there are over 30 projects to choose from.
Malaysian residential properties located within a short walking distance to public transportation are highly sought-after because they enhance our work-life balance. Let’s be honest, no one wants to spend one hour or more travelling to work. Even shorter commutes of about 30 minutes can be exhausting. The long commute saps our energy and it could be better spent on something more meaningful, like with our family.
For those looking for homes located close to speedy public transport, we have wonderful news for you: the authorities announced that MRT Putrajaya Line Phase I will start operating on 16 June 2022 at 3pm. Do note that it’s also known as MRT 2 and is officially called the Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line.
According to news reports, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that for one-month beginning Thursday (June 16), commuters will be able to enjoy free rides across all public transportation services under RapidKL in the Klang Valley. The free rides include MRT, LRT, BRT, Monorail and the RapidKL bus, in conjunction with the opening of the MRT Putrajaya line.
Overall, the 57.7km-long MRT Putrajaya Line will feature 36 stations, of which 27 are elevated and nine are underground. There will be 10 interchange stations and connecting stations, allowing commuters to easily transfer from the Putrajaya Line to existing and upcoming rail lines in Malaysia. There are also 4 extra stations just in case they are needed. However, only 12 MRT stations will start operating under Phase 1 on 16 June.
