Located at the northern fringe of KL, Kepong is about 12 km away from KL downtown. While many people still think Kepong is an outdated part of Klang Valley, this township is the other way around as it is adjacent to KL and Selangor’s elite neighbourhoods like Mont Kiara, Sierramas, Country Heights Damansara and Sri Damansara.

Previously, Kepong was only served by the KTM Komuter line. As it is always known for its notorious traffic, the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) SSP Line or MRT 2 will further elevate the traffic volume and shorten the travelling time from Kepong to other parts of the Klang Valley, especially during peak hours. The 52.2 km MRT SSP Line is the country’s second MRT line, stretching from Sungai Buloh to Putrajaya via KL City Centre.

The MRT 2 will make Kepong even more accessible as four stations will be passing through this mature township. Upon its completion, the MRT SSP Line is expected to cater for 2 million people in KL North and Putrajaya. On top of that, expect a property boom in this area. The properties’ capital growth will be higher due to demand from buyers and investors as the new MRT line will further enhance the livability in Kepong.

1. MRT Kepong Sentral station
