7 household items celebs resembled at the Met Gala

test

The theme of this year’s Met Gala was ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’. Naturally, your fave celebrities came forth with feathers, glitter and glamour aplenty – but we couldn’t help notice something a bit odd…

More than one A-list outfit felt familiar to us in that it appeared to be the spitting image of some of the more boring household items that each and every one of us find in our own homes.

So, without further ado, here are seven household items celebrities looked like at the Met Gala 2019.

1. Emily Blunt as steel wool

We’re obsessed with this look – and love it just as much as the gold steel wool that helps us get caked foods off our oven dishes.

2. Katy Perry as a chandelier

The Met Gala is a chance to be extra, so absolutely no one can blame Katy Perry for taking this on board. The popstar quite literally lit up the pink carpet in this glitzy candelabra look.

3. Kendall Jenner as a feather duster

In this flamboyant look, Kendall is a shoo-in to play Plumette in the next live-action Disney film, Beauty and the Beast.

4. Gigi Hadid as a cotton tip

She’s sleek, she’s chic, and about as streamlined in this look as your quintessential cotton tip.

5. Liza Koshy as a cushion

If this boxy dress was a cushion in Kmart, you bet your bottom dollar we’d be flailing our elbows to make sure we snagged one in the sale.

6. Kim Kardashian as an hourglass timer

Just like sand in the hourglass, Kim Kardashian is quite literally dripping gold in this wet-look latex dress, and so is this Adairs hourglass we’re about to add to our shopping carts.

7. Cardi B as theatre curtains

Admittedly not something you’d find in every household, but rapper Cardi B is serving us some serious Baz Luhrmann/Moulin Rouge/that-old-cinema-in-the-middle-of-nowhere vibes in this gigantic maroon gown. It’s either that or a red blood cell.
