“Subang people will never leave Subang,” declares Kang.

“I know Subang Jaya like the back of my hand. I know the best places to eat, and I know every shortcut.”

True to his word, Reuben Kang grew up and studied in Subang Jaya. Today, as a filmmaker, he owns a 1200 sqft apartment here, just a stone’s throw away from his family home.

Kang who found fame creating YouTube videos in his early days describes himself as a typical Subang Jaya kid who loves staying at home.

When it comes to designing his current house, Kang put a lot of thought into creating a space that suits his lifestyle and personality. Thanks to the clever utilization of space, his rustic home is nothing short of cosy.

More surprisingly, Kang proves to be quite the collector. His refrigerator bears the evidence of all the cities he has visited, which includes magnets from his visit to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

These refrigerator magnets are just the beginning. Find out what else Reuben Kang has in his collection in the video above. You’d be amazed to learn about his obsessions.
