The Bangsar LRT station on Rapid KL's Kelana Jaya Line is located on Jalan Bangsar. Abdullah Hukum, Kerinchi and Universiti LRT stations are also located nearby. Bangsar is a five-minute drive from KL Sentral, a major transportation hub in neighboring Brickfields.

The Telawi area in Bangsar Baru is sometimes known as "the strip". It has often been compared to Singapore's Holland Village. "The strip" can be skirted on foot in about 15 minutes.
