These are some of the highest-priced Johor houses in 2020, all of which had a price tag of at least a million.

Despite the pandemic crushing economics worldwide, property transactions in Malaysia are still ongoing with some notably-priced properties. In this article, we take a look at the top 10 most expensive homes sold in Johor in 2020.

The data that we’ve collected is based on the review period between January 2020 to July 2020 and the information from the Valuation and Property Services Department (JPPH) that has been compiled by’s big data solution

10. Semi-D, Bandar Putra, Kulai – RM1,750,000

Median PSF for a residential unit in Bandar Putra: RM219

Last but not least is this two-storey semi-d located approximately 29 kilometre away from Johor Bahru in Bandar Putra, Kulai.

With a price tag of RM1.75 million, the residential unit is in a neighbourhood that is just a stone’s throw away from IOI Palm Villa Golf & Country Club and Hutan Bandar Putra. Nearby amenities include shopping malls including IOI Mall Kulai , Johor Premium Outlet (JPO) and Aeon Mall Kulai. It is also about a 5-minute drive to the Senai Airport.

9. Semi-D, Taman Sutera, Perling – RM1,831,050

Another residential unit that is featured in our list is a freehold semi-detached unit located in the neighbourhood of Taman Sutera, Perling. This two-storey unit has four bedrooms in total and sits on a land area of 4,384 sq ft. It has a built up area of 2,229 sqft.

The neighbourhood is located close to the Johor Bahru Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine Complex (CIQ) and the Tuas Second Link by coastal highways.

Located within the 270-acre Eco Botanic project of Eco World Development Group Bhd, the residential units in this neighbourhood is surrounded by family-friendly parks and feature community-oriented designs such as green backlanes and walkways.

You will also find a range of facilities and amenities available to the residents here and this township is also occupied by a central park, lush greenery and 53km-long bicycle path and walkways.

7. Semi-D, Straits View Residence, Permas Jaya – RM1,990,000

Situated in the eastern part of Johor Bahru, this semi-detached unit is located in the residential project of Straits View Residence. It was completed in 2014 and occupies a 3.52 acre of freehold land.

Here, you can find 186 semi-detached units and 32 bungalow units with beautiful views of the Straits of Johor and Singapore. There is also a clubhouse that is equipped with an array of facilities such as an infinity pool, kids’ pool, gym, function rooms and barbeque deck, among others. The upscale residential area is surrounded by gardens, lakes and wetlands. Its resort homes are also known for their spacious interiors, great natural lighting and high ceilings.

The neighbourhood is easily accessible via the Second Link Highway via the Pulai Interchange as well as the road from the Gelang Patah Interchange. The Second Link Highway is only 11km drive from East Ledang.

Placed fourth in our list is a leasehold bungalow located in this neighbourhood with a sale price of RM2.3 million. It is a three-and-a-half storey unit with a large land area of 9,397 sqft!

3. Semi-D, Taman Abad (Century Garden), Johor Bahru – RM2,400,000

Our second runner-up is a semi-detached unit in the matured and bustling neighbourhood of Taman Abad in Johor Bahru. Priced at RM2.4 million, this freehold unit is a two-storey semi-detached unit with a built-up area of approximately 1,574 sq ft.

2. Bungalow, Nusa Duta, Skudai – RM2,700,000

Another bungalow that made it to the top in this list is situated in Nusa Duta in Skudai. With a sale price of RM2.7 million, this bungalow unit is a freehold development with a land area of about 6,000sqft.

The unit is in a neighbourhood that is well-surrounded by matured residential, commercial, and entertainment hubs. The area is also served by many established educational institutions and healthcare facilities, making it a well-rounded neighbourhood for many.

A gated and guarded community, the development was developed by IJM Land Bhd. It is also conveniently accessible from Jalan Sutera Danga, Jalan Persisiran Perling 2, and Second Link Highway from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore via exit 308C.

With a price tag of RM3.45 million, the most expensive bungalow listed in Johor last year is located in Horizon Hills, Iskandar Puteri, a joint development between Gamuda Land and UEM Land. The low-density Horizon Hills development boasts a private 18-hole par-72 golf course designed by world-renowned Australian master course architect Ross Watson.

An exclusive gated and guarded development, it only has 13 residential precincts equipped with garden, wetlands, and cycling path networks.

The neighbourhood is accessible via major highways such as the North-South Expressway, Skudai Expressway, Malaysia-Singapore Second Link and the Perling Expressway. It’s also within a 30-minute drive to Singapore and a mere 5-minute drive to Malaysia’s first international theme park, Legoland.
