For Malaysia’s super-wealthy, the price tag for a lavish home goes beyond a multi-million Ringgit.

Last year, we shared 2017’s 10 most expensive homes sold in Malaysia which only the wealthiest 1% of Malaysian households can afford them. It is unsurprising that these homes are owned by tycoons, mogul, and royals. Some of them are so expensive, they look no less than the palaces. From an indoor cinema to a rooftop deck and pool, the personal touches in some of these homes are everything you could ever wish for.

We make a list of 10 most expensive homes in Malaysia for 2018 based on the review period from January 2018 to December 2018. The information is from the Valuation and Property Services Department (JPPH) that has been compiled by brickz.

10Bungalow, Country Heights, Kajang (RM8 mil)

This beautifully landscaped neighbourhood of Country Heights Kajang is home for the elite society. It is located about 23km away from KL city centre. Every inch of the area surrounded by lush tropical greenies that offer total privacy and relaxation. Besides being spacious, these resort-style villas came with top-notch features like a music room and a pool lounge. It is also strategically located with proximity to the administrative district of Putrajaya and offers access to major highways and interchange stations like KTM and MRT.

Every Country Heights has the reputation of being an exclusive neighbourhood for the wealthy community. As for Country Heights Damansara, the bungalow lots are spread over a 200-acre hilly park, surrounded by nature. Each bungalow comes with a serene greenery view and hilly terrain. Besides, it is only a short distance from Mont Kiara, Damansara and Hartamas while accessibility to highways like LDP, North-South highway and Sprint highway is convenient.

Lonely Planet has listed Damansara Heights as 10 of the world’s coolest neighbourhoods for 2017. This neighbourhood has its personality and character as it is one of the addresses for the affluent community. Dubbed as the Beverly Hills of Malaysia, it is an enclave neighbourhood with leafy streets. From grocery shopping to nightlife entertainment, you can find almost everything in its proximity.

3Bungalow, Lebuhraya Codrington, Pulau Tikus (RM 22 mil)

Lebuhraya Codrington (Codrington Avenue) was named after the acting Resident Councillor of Penang, Stewart Codrington. This established upper-class neighbourhood is situated at a prime layout as it is only a short drive to Georgetown and Gurney Drive. Houses in this area are mostly three-storey bungalows with easy access to amenities like hospital, school, and mall. Among the nearby attractions is the Church Immaculate Conception that was inaugurated by the Eurasian community in 1811 as well as Dhammikarama Burmese Temple that was built in 1803. It is also the first Burmese Buddhist temple in Malaysia.

2Bungalow, Kenny Hills, Bukit Tunku (RM 26.6 mil)

Kenny Hills has been established since the colonial era. Also known as Bukit Tunku, it is one of Malaysia’s private residential areas. It is named after the first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman and the entire area comprises of mansions and extravagant homes with over the top designs. Not just that, this neighbourhood is home to many high-net individuals and expatriates. Kenny Hills is only 10 to 15 minutes’ drive to Bangsar, Mont Kiara, and KL city centre and it has easy access to DUKE Highway, PLUS highway and Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar.

1. MOST EXPENSIVE: Bungalow, Tijani, Bukit Tunku (RM 45.68 mil)

Tijani is practically a steal for property buyers as it is located at the prestigious area of Bukit Tunku. Its name perfectly matches its high-end price tag as it came from an Arabic word ‘Al Tijani’ that means crowning and it is also often associated with notable people. Besides that, it is also adjacent to other A-list neighbourhoods like Taman Duta and Sri Hartamas. Investors and savvy property buyers who are looking for a premium home may want to check out this area to shop for future investment.
