12 November, PETALING JAYA – TA Global recently unveiled DA Square @ Damansara Avenue, a multifaceted and cultural lifestyle destination designed as part of its award-winning mixed development super hub in Bandar Sri Damansara.

Slated to open in December 2020, TA Global is excited to announce that Japanese global apparel retailer UNIQLO, the main anchor tenant of DA Square, will debut the very first UNIQLO roadside community-based store in Malaysia. The store will offer a comprehensive product portfolio that highlights the everyday comfort and sartorial perfection that UNIQLO is most celebrated for. Other than UNIQLO, other brands include Starbucks, The Brew House, 7-Eleven, Fook Yin Lau, Mr Bento and Victoria 25 Café.

Spread across 48 acres, Damansara Avenue masterplan has long led the discourse in local real estate through its innovative design vision and a nuanced understanding of modern needs. Gathering six complementary components in one precinct, including residential, retail, office towers, lush green landscapes, a dedicated sports complex and a performing arts centre, it goes far beyond delivering more than just a home or a workplace but an exceptional living experience that will appeal to an entire urban generation.

DA Square thus seeks to emulate and perpetuate Damansara Avenue’s interconnectivity and communal spirit. Anchored by four components namely retail, dining, arts and event, the development is poised to deliver a refreshing, multi-dimensional way for the community of Bandar Sri Damansara and beyond to dine, shop and gather. A highly select gastronomic and leisure delights aside, the community can also anticipate a fun art experience relayed through various mural wall designs nestled within. Aligned with TA Global’s vision to raise greater awareness and appreciation of the works of local arts and cultural talents, DA Square shall rise as a vibrant artistic hotspot of the city.

Mr Lee Yen Foong officially handed over the stores to Uniqlo, Starbucks, 7-Eleven, Fook Yin Lau, Mr Bento and Victoria 25 Café during DA Square @ Damansara Avenue Store Handover Ceremony.

“We are honoured to have UNIQLO as our main anchor tenant at DA Square to develop the brand’s very first roadside store in the country. TA Global and UNIQLO are natural partners as both possess a deep respect for our crafts and commitment to quality. I believe our partnership will bring to life a shared vision that will alter the landscape of Bandar Sri Damansara, stimulating the community, vitality and economy of the neighbourhood, as well as of our very own masterplan development. We are thrilled to welcome them on board.”

“Though a temporary construction, DA Square shall fulfil its purpose as a precursor to Ativo Annexe, offering the public a preview of the many more exciting retail and lifestyle venues that the next phase of our masterplan shall bring. We are highly confident that UNIQLO and all our anchor tenants at DA Square will continue to stay and grow with us as the masterplan unfolds,” said Tiah Joo Kim, CEO of TA Global.

During the store handover ceremony, TA Global also announced the team’s success in securing full occupancy for DA Square. “Our first roadside store at DA Square @ Damansara Avenue marks our continuous expansion in this market. It is a new type of store for Malaysia that complements our existing network of mall-based stores. Our new store is carefully designed to ensure enough space and accessibility for all, including families with children, elderly people and people with disability, and will feature its own car park for our customers. Essentially, the new UNIQLO roadside store will serve as a close-to-home store for customers in Bandar Sri Damansara and surrounding townships, giving locals the chance to enjoy a quick and convenient trip to UNIQLO,” said Yuki Yamada, CEO of UNIQLO Malaysia and Singapore.
