Johor, May 19 – In line with Mah Sing Group Berhad’s (Mah Sing) brand transformation strategy, the Group officially launched and opened its Johor Bahru corporate office (27,300 sq ft), today.
The launch of the new office was officiated by YBhg Tuan Haji A. Rahim Bin Haji Nin (Datuk Bandar MBJB), Datuk Ho Hon Sang (Chief Executive Officer, Mah Sing Group), Gerard Yuen (Chief Sales Officer, Mah Sing Group) and Benjamin Ong (Senior General Manager of Southern Region, Mah Sing Group).
Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ho Hon Sang said, “We want to reinvent spaces for our customers and our people. In an effort to create a more conducive work environment for the team, our headquarters in KL is currently undergoing renovation to upgrade its design and facilities for the comfort of our people. Here in Johor Bahru, we are also adopting a similar modern design with open concept working spaces which will add comfort and ease communication for our team.
Datuk Ho further added that it is important for Mah Sing to take good care of its employees as they are driving the company towards success. “Everyone in the company plays an important role and we want to provide the best working environment for our people so that they can work efficiently and creatively.”
NEW CORPORATE OFFICE – AUSTIN V SQUARE
Mah Sing’s new corporate office is located at one of the Group’s development, Austin V Square. It is a freehold commercial development with a total of 164 units of 5-storey corporate suites and 1 convention centre.
The location of the new corporate office is very convenient as it is only a 5 minutes’ drive to Aeon Tebrau, Sunway College, Austin Heights Golf & Country Resort as well as the upcoming IKEA development which is scheduled to open end of this year. It is also just a short 25 minute’s drive to Johor Bahru city centre and Johor Premium outlets as well as a 40 minute’s drive to Singapore second link.
The Group put a lot of thought into developing Austin V Square to give convenience to its buyers. Businesses will be able to enjoy good visibility thanks to its wide 26” frontage and a safe environment with the CCTV monitoring system. Aside from that, there are ample carparks, private elevator and UniFi hotspot access for an added convenience.
The development would be suitable for retails like F&B, convenient stores and lifestyle shops as well as corporate offices. Organising an event like conferences, warehouse sales, seminars, banquets and more are made easy with the availability of a convention centre at Austin V Square.
JOHOR BAHRU – A GROWING PROPERTY SCENE
In 2000, the Group ventured into Johor with Sri Pulai Perdana, a residential township. Mah Sing was the first developer to introduce the concept of gated and guarded living for link homes with grand entrance statements, and a 12-acre Roman inspired central garden for Sri Pulai Perdana, which were all unheard of 17 years ago in Iskandar Malaysia.
To date, the Group has a total of seven projects in Johor with remaining landbank of 1,385 acres as well as remaining gross development value (RGDV) and unbilled sales of RM6.8billion.
Datuk Ho said, “This year marks the 17th year of our presence in Johor. As a market-driven developer, we saw the potential of the property market in Johor in an early stage. In fact, 6 years after our venture into the state, Iskandar Malaysia was launched and has since draw in a large number of domestic and international investors.”
The development of Iskandar Malaysia will enable the people within the region and its surroundings to enjoy a better quality of life, with environmental preservation, learning and knowledge, social cohesion, better income and wealth distribution. With this, there will be greater opportunities for future generations to advance through better education, healthcare, employment and business opportunities. According to Iskandar Malaysia’s report, the region has a population of 1.95million in 2015 and is expected to grow to 3million by 2025. Mah Sing’s ongoing and upcoming projects will be able to cater to the needs of the population growth.
MERIDIN EAST, A SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY
Meridin East is situated in Pasir Gudang, Iskandar Malaysia, a gated and guarded township to be developed over the next 12 to 15 years. The 1,313 acre integrated mixed development has a Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM5billion and is Mah Sing Group’s biggest development by acreage. As Meridin East is located within close proximity of the booming Pasir Gudang Industrial Hub and Tanjung Langsat Industrial Park, it will play an important role to address the need for homes for workers and families in the respective areas.
Besides facilities and amenities for a complete and sustainable development, Meridin East will provide residents with a lush green environment and a wide selection of activities to encourage exercise and healthy living. The Group plans to plant several thousand native trees around the townships Mulberry lake to preserve and enhance the natural flora and fauna. The township also has 110 acres allocated to develop various activities for its residents to exercise.
Mah Sing is currently widening Jalan Kong Kong to a 40-meter, four-lane thoroughfare. The proposed direct slip-in and slip-out from the SDE spur road at the Cahaya Baru Toll into Jalan Kong Kong is set to improve accessibility for Meridin East’s residents heading towards or coming from Tanjung Langsat.
