Mah Sing’s Group Managing Director Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum said, “We are very sympathetic to the situation and we want to help out as much as we can to those who are affected by the flood disaster. As a responsible property developer, we do not only want to build sustainable homes but also assist in building and maintaining sustainable communities. The community’s welfare very important to us and we hope our contributions will be able to play a part in restoring the island to its vibrancy.”

Chairman of Mah Sing Foundation, Dato’ Indera Syed Norulzaman bin Kamarulzaman said that the contributions will be utilised to restore homes and schools as well as providing needed equipment and machineries for repairing work. “Aside from giving monetary contribution to respective organisations, we have also distributed household items, electrical goods, and bedding accessories to 3 communities in Penang with more than 600 households, including Mah Sing’s own staffs that were badly affected by the disaster. Moral support in times like these is very important too, so we hope our presence will be able to lift the spirit of those affected.”
