21 February, KUALA LUMPUR – The Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) commuter service, KTM Komuter, for the Pulau Sebang – KL Sentral – Batu Caves route will be gradually changing its schedule for track maintenance works.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) said in a statement today that the schedule change was to enable track maintenance and repair works between Simpang Port Klang and South Salak sectors.
In the first stage, a total of 33 out of the 73 commuter train services will undergo a change of schedule from Feb 22 to 24. There’ll be no changes for 18 Batu Caves-Sentul-Batu Caves shuttle train services.
Maintenance for the second stage will start from March 1 to 3, involving 22 commuter train services that start and end at Kajang Station. Passengers can connect to the next destination using alternative transport such as integrated MRT services at Kajang Station, the statement said.
Also undergoing schedule changes are 18 Batu Caves-Sentul-Batu Caves shuttle train services .
The statement explains that the last stage of the maintenance is divided into two phases, namely from March 8 to 10 and March 15 to 17 involving schedule changes for 32 of the 73 commuter train services with 12 of them commencing and ending at Kajang Station.
Users are advised to seek alternative transport for the connecting journey to the next destination, the statement said, adding that there was no schedule changes for the Batu Caves-Sentul-Batu Caves shuttle train services for this last stage.
