The prestigious annual awards once again recognises the outstanding achievements in real estate.
iProperty.com.my once again raised the spotlight to honour the most accomplished developers in the property industry at the iProperty Development Excellence Awards (iDEA) 2019 on 9 October 2019. Held for the third year, the prestigious annual awards, celebrates the ‘best of the best’ in the property industry, acknowledging outstanding developments in categories such as architecture, quality excellence and design.
It was a night filled with glitz and glamour at the high-gala presentation of iDEA 2019 with over 450 individuals from the property and real estate sector packing in the grand ballroom at the St. Regis Hotel Kuala Lumpur for this year’s award ceremony. Organised by Malaysia’s No. 1 property site – iProperty.com.my, the consumer brand for REA Group Asia in Malaysia, iDEA 2019 saw 36 winners being awarded for their achievements in real estate.

This year’s awards were once again judged by an independent panel of 9 property industry experts from esteemed organisations such as the Royal Institute of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM), Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM) and Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP). The award categories included both completed as well as future developments.
To ensure credibility and fairness, 16 of this year’s awards were judged by the panel of experts. 10 best property developers were entered into the coveted People’s Choice Award based on the highest number of votes cast by members of the public.
All iDEA 2019 finalists also qualified for the Best Developer – People’s Choice Award category. PwC Malaysia, the awards official balloting partner, performed the procedures on the balloting and voting processes as well as independently verifying the results.
As the prestigious awards ceremony, sponsored by Kansai Paint, official paint for iProperty Development Excellence 2019, guests were treated to an elaborate Chinese fine-dining dinner service with lively musical performances by local singer-songwriter Dasha Logan who entertained the audience with her rendition of contemporary hits. The relaxed atmosphere no doubt put each guest at ease before the big awards were officially announced and awarded to the winners.
On this night, TA Global Berhad emerged as the biggest winner of the night as they walked away with 4 awards including Development of the Year (Future Projects) for their flagship project, Damansara Avenue.
For the Completed Projects category for Development of the Year, the award was presented to Molek Regency by Alpha Astral Realty Sdn. Bhd.
The other notable winners on this evening included Mah Sing Group Berhad, which clinched the Best Residential Landed Development title for the M Aruna project, and the Visionary Developer Award as well as LBS Bina Group Berhad, which picked up the Best Township Development (below 500 acres) for the LBS Alam Perdana project.
Ever evolving, iDEA 2019 also introduced 3 new categories – Best Landscape Architecture Development, Best Office Development and Best International Development – this year. Won by CK East Group for One East, Damansara; IOI Properties Group Berhad for Stellar Suites and Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd for Paragon @ Melbourne respectively, these new categories reflect a unique demand in the Malaysian property landscape.
Also, to recognise the achievements of local developers and professionals for their contribution to real estate and developments, several Special Recognition awards were also presented on this evening. This included:

As the event drew to a close and with winners celebrating their awards, iDEA 2019 was once more able to pay tribute to the dynamic, creative and passionate professionals that have created such a profound impact in the lives of thousands of property buyers and investors.
Along with the winning developments as well as the high calibre of entries received for the awards this year, iDEA 2019 proves without a shadow of a doubt that the level of excellence in the Malaysian real estate industry continues to rise to new heights.
