14 September, SELANGOR – KLK Land Sdn Bhd (KLK Land) has realised an eventful milestone with the completion and handling over of its second phase of Rumah Selangorku (RSKU) known as Hibiscus 3 in Bandar Seri Coalfields. The development of RSKU by KLK Land is in support of the state government call to cater to the demand for affordable housing for people from all walks of life.
Following the completion of the Hibiscus 3, a handover ceremony was held on-site and jointly officiated by Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor, YAB Tuan Amirudin Bin Shari and Yang Dipertua Majlis Daerah Kuala Selangor, YB Puan Rahilah Binti Rahmat together with the Chief Executive Officer of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK), Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Lee Oi Hian, Managing Director of KLK Land, Dato’ David Tan Thean Thye, and the representatives from the Local Authorities i.e. Majlis Daerah Kuala Selangor, Pejabat Tanah Kuala Selangor, JKR and other relevant local authorities.
To commemorate the momentous occasion, 10 proud owners of Hibiscus 3’s double storey house were presented the mock keys by Selangor Menteri Besar, YAB Tuan Amirudin Bin Shari and Yang Dipertua Majlis Daerah Kuala Selangor, YB Puan Rahilah Binti Rahmat.
Under the RSKU initiative, KLK Land has developed a total of 224 units of 18’ x 60’ two storey terrace homes in its first phase of the affordable homes range name Hibiscus 2 which already handed over to homeowners in April 2017.
Due to the overwhelming response received from its first phase of the RSKU, KLK Land has launched its second phase of RSKU project known as Hibiscus 3 in September 2017. It offers 274 units of two storey terrace homes with land size of 18’ x 60’ and built-up area of 1,050 square feet with price RM220,000 each.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, YAB Tuan Amirudin Bin Shari said, “It is heartening to see developers like KLK Land supporting our initiative to provide affordable housing for the people of Selangor. It is our aim to provide the rakyat with quality and comfortable homes at affordable prices to meet the high demand of low and middle-income buyers working in urban areas.”
Chief Executive Officer of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad said, “We have always place high importance on the quality of the products we offer and there are no exceptions for our affordable homes segment. Although Hibiscus 3 are priced at RM220,000, we do not compromise on the quality of the products. The construction of Hibiscus 3 took about 2 years to complete.”
The event also saw Dato’ Menteri Besar Selangor took time to embark on a brief walkabout at Hibiscus 3, visiting one of the actual units as well as the range of amenities that have been planned for the residents.
Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Lee added, “As a responsible corporate citizen and developer, we are committed in supporting the State Government initiatives in building more acquirable homes for the people. We will make affordable homes an integral part of our township and play our part in aiding our rakyat to find and acquire an affordable home whilst enjoying the quality lifestyle KLK Land has to offer.”
