This upgrade will be carried out by Astro at no charge for condominiums.
1. You first need to upgrade your Centralised Satellite Infrastructure
Since the older decoder does not support 4K UHD, you need to upgrade to the new Astro Ultra Box. The new Astro Ultra Box requires your building to be installed with the Centralised Satellite Infrastructure. Once you’ve got the all necessary set up, you can now enjoy the best in entertainment and take your viewing experience to the next level. This includes 4K UHD, Cloud Recording and a fresh new user interface that is seamless across device screens, with improved content recommendations based on viewing history, play from start functions and the ability to record multiple shows at the same time.
This free upgrade is only available for the first 50 eligible buildings.
2. The 4K UHD is 4 times the resolution of HDTV
With 4K UHD on the Ultra Box, viewers will experience the most vibrant colour television experience possible, 4 times the resolution of HDTV including sharper detail, smoother lines and a richer colour palette. The Ultra Box enables sports fans to enjoy UEFA EURO 2020, the Premier League, Formula 1 and La Liga, in the first 4K UHD experience in Malaysia. Customers can also enjoy the latest blockbusters title such as Rocketman, IT Chapter 2, and Joker (coming soon) in 4K UHD.
3. This free upgrade is only available for the first 50 eligible buildings
That’s right. This free upgrade is only available for the first 50 eligible buildings! All you have to do is speak to your building management to upgrade your building infrastructure (at no additional cost), get your condominium Ultra-Box-ready and you’ll get to unlock the new Astro experience – all for FREE.
