
19 March, SHAH ALAM – The Selangor government has approved 144 housing projects involving 57,710 Rumah Selangorku units from 2016 until Feb 28.
Housing and Urban Living exco Haniza Mohamed Talha said of these, three projects involving 888 Rumah Selangorku units have been completed and the keys handed over to their owners.
Of this total too, 21 projects involving 11,396 units are under construction while the remaining 90 projects involving 45,426 units are in the planning stage, she said in reply to a question from Pelabuhan Klang state assemblyman, Azmizam Zaman Huri at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting here today.
Azmizam asked about the number of Rumah Selangorku units which had been built in the state and the number of applicants for these housing projects.
Commenting further, Haniza (PKR-Lembah Jaya) said based on the records, Dengkil had the most number of housing projects with 9,178 units, followed by Rawang (7,842 units), Klang (5,898 units), Petaling (4,479 units), Tanjung Dua Belas (4,100 units), Ijok (3,706 units) and Damansara (3,260 units).
In Beranang, there are 2,726 units, Kajang (2,253 units), Morib (2,158 units) and Bukit Raja (2,182 units).
“Among the areas where between 100 and 2,000 Rumah Selangorku units are being built are Cheras, Ulu Yam, Ampang, Panchang Bendena, Serendah, Semenyih, Sungai Buloh, Hulu Kelang, Kapar and Jeram,” she said.
Haniza added that since 2016 until March this year, 123,352 applicants had failed to get Rumah Selangorku units.
