test

The sophisticated palette of pink and grey is equal parts soft and bold, making it a dreamy combination for the bedroom – and the best part is, it suits most design styles.

Unsure how to get the look in your bedroom? Here are 7 gorgeous ideas to get you started.

1. Layer soft shades

There’s no need to go all out if bold colours aren’t your thing. A layered look is an easy way to show off soft pink and grey shades.

Combine pale pink bedding with a gentle grey throw and a soft colour on the walls, or go for bed linen with pink and grey accents and add pops of texture for impact.

“These two colours can be soft and delicate so it’s easy to have fun with layering lots of different textures without the look becoming too busy,” says the Bed Bath N’ Table product team.

2. Be bold with velvet

Jessica Bellef, head of styling at Temple & Webster, says this is a plush colour pairing that can be enhanced by textured furnishings.

“Add a dusty pink velvet-blend quilt cover set to an otherwise grey and neutral bedroom for a sophisticated take on the pink and grey trend,” Jessica says. A sleek bed frame and vintage rug in shades of grey would also add subtle depth.

3. Go plush with blush

Blush pink is having a massive moment and creates a chic, modern vibe. Choose bedding in this shade, with grey and neutral accents – think throws, side tables and light fittings – to showcase this eye-catching feature.

“Contrasting modern architecture with soft linen in a beautiful blush shade adds softness to your bedroom and creates a soothing style,” the Bed Bath N’ Table product team suggests.

4. Choose tactile accessories

“Adding texture to a bedroom through the layering of bedlinen, wall hangings or ceramic can help add balance,” says Lexi Kentman from Pottery Barn.

“Pink and grey can be warmed up with the introduction of tactile pieces that want to be touched.”

5. Create ambience with a grey wall

Keen to try something a little more dynamic? Take the styling of your bedroom to the next level with a moody grey wall. “Choose a quilt cover with a pink and grey metallic sheen and top it with a quilted cushion and a velvet throw for a dramatic and inviting bedroom scheme,” says Jessica.

6. Add rattan

Rattan was huge in the ’70s and now it’s back in a big way. These trends help create a natural, earthy style. Side tables, bed heads and storage baskets are easy choices, and you can also incorporate rattan in artwork, light fittings and planters for indoor greenery.

“Add rattan to complete the look – it’s a fresh spring update on your everyday classics,” says Danielle Strauss, soft furnishing product manager at Adairs.

7. Pair blush pink with French grey

Blush pink and French grey is a match made in designer heaven – it’s gentle, moody and grown-up. “Blush pink has established itself as a great neutral and paired with a French grey it creates a sophisticated look,” says Kentman. “If you can’t commit to painting your walls pink, a great option is switching up your bedlinen, or choosing accessories that feature this palette.”
