Vanke Malaysia contributes 60,000 masks to the frontlliner warriors

10 April, KUALA LUMPUR – Advocated and supported by China Embassy in Malaysia, despite the shortage of face masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) in the market, a contribution of essential medical supplies including 60,000 pieces mask have been committed by Vanke Malaysia, to support the heroes at the frontlines battling against Covid-19.

The contribution was distributed to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), Kuala Lumpur Contingent Police Headquarters (PDRM), Fire and Rescue department Kuala Lumpur (Bomba KL), Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), Pejabat Ketua Pegawai Keselamatan Kerajaan Malaysia (CGSO) etc.

A handing over ceremony was held at DBKL Crisis Management Centre, in the presence of Minister of Federal Territories YB Tan Sri Annuar Musa, receiving essential medical supplies from Mr Lang Cong, Managing Director of Vanke Malaysia. Presence together were Y.Bhg Datuk Wan Ahmad Uzir bin Hj.

Wan Sulaiman Deputy Secretary General (Management & Socio Economic), CP Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim, Kuala Lumpur Chief Police and Brig Jen Datuk Marzuki, Commander 12 Brigade.

Besides Face masks, Vanke Malaysia also contributed 100 PPE protective suits for the medical team in Hospital KL and light food & drinks to DBKL enforcement team.

“We would like to express our highest appreciation to the frontliners who are dedicating their lives to maintain the law and safeguard our country at this crucial juncture by sacrificing time with families throughout the Movement Control Order (MCO) to curb the spread of Covid-19.” said Lang Cong Managing Director of Vanke Malaysia.

“These brave men and women are making their tireless efforts to protect us. As a corporate citizen, these are the least we can do, to stand together with our Malaysia frontliners, for their sacrifice and contribution during Malaysia’s hour of need. “Lang Cong added.
