November 20, SHAH ALAM – Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) today entered into a pact with Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd for the development of the country’s rail industry which will benefit more than 3,000 of its students.
The three-year agreement includes joint efforts to undertake research and consultation works to produce human capital which can meet the demands of the industry in the future.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by UiTM’s vice-chancellor, Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Hassan Said and Rapid Rail chief executive officer, Datuk Zohari Sulaiman, here, today.
“Although the rail and train sector is a new field of study in UiTM, the MoU is the best opportunity for our students to improve their skills and knowledge as the transport industry is fast expanding.
“We hope this agreement will make UiTM a referral centre for the rail and train industry in the future, as well as give added value to the students,” Hassan said.
