“So far, UEM Sunrise has spent RM350 million on infrastructure development for all of our projects in Iskandar Malaysia and we will be investing another RM250 million over the next five years. By providing ready infrastructure, investors do not have to worry about the area’s readiness and sustainability – For instance with the SILC, when our investors come in, all they have to do is to build their facility,’’ he added.
Managing Director of Crown Worldwide, Leon Hulme expressed the company’s excitement at being part of a catalytic development for Iskandar Puteri, “ We chose to invest in SILC Phase 3 because we see Iskandar Puteri as a regional hub from which we can best serve the Malaysian market, while simultaneously giving us access to the Southeast Asian region.”
Boasting contiguous development-ready land, SiLC has a cluster-based approach featuring advanced, innovation-driven industries augmenting the value chain of integrated ‘clean’ industrial sectors in four major areas – advanced technology, health & nutrition, logistics, and biotechnology.
The park which faces the Second Link Highway, is only 6 minutes away from the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link, 15 minutes away from the Port of Tanjung Pelepas and has strategic access to freight railways that links to Senai, JB Central and Pasir Gudang.
