UEM Sunrise completes 1,217 units of Denai Nusantara Affordable Homes Development in Iskandar Puteri, Johor

29 January, ISKANDAR PUTERI, JOHOR – UEM Sunrise Berhad (UEM Sunrise), one of Malaysia’s leading property developers and master developer of Iskandar Puteri has realised yet another milestone in its ongoing commitment to deliver affordable housing in Iskandar Puteri, one of the five flagship zones in Iskandar Malaysia, Johor; with the completion and initial handover of Rumah Mampu Biaya Johor (RMBJ) and Kedai Kos Sederhana (KKS) in Denai Nusantara.

Held at the compounds of Denai Nusantara, the development completion was commemorated with a Key Handover Ceremony, officiated by the Chief Minister of Johor, YAB Dato’ Haji Osman Haji Sapian, accompanied by YB Tuan Haji Dzulkefly Ahmad, Kota Iskandar Assemblyman / Johor Housing and Rural Development Committee Chairman and Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of UEM Sunrise. The event was also attended by Mayor of Iskandar Puteri, YB Dato’ Adib Azhari Daud; UEM Sunrise’s Director Southern 2, Zamri Yusof and about 500 guests, including community leaders, representatives of local authorities, media members and residents of the surrounding areas.

Located next to the industrial parks in Gerbang Nusajaya Denai Nusantara, offers quality affordable homes in a strategic location with accessibility to various business and employment opportunities in Iskandar Puteri.

The homes are spread across five 12-storey blocks comprising 1,109 units with three bedrooms each and a built up of 1000 sq. ft., priced at RM150,000. There are also 108 units of single-storey shop lots within the development to cater to the needs of the residents, further adding to the convenience of living in Denai Nusantara. Other facilities and shared amenities include a multipurpose hall, a mosque, and an open green space that comprises of a football field, a jogging track, a recreational area as well as safety fencing.

UEM Sunrise will continue its affordable housing project with the latest development known as Rumah Mampu Biaya Gerbang Nusantara, Iskandar Puteri which will be built in phases at the end of this year. Rumah Mampu Biaya Gerbang Nusantara will have 4,752 units of terrace houses, apartments and commercial units which include:

• Rumah Mampu Biaya (A), 965 units, priced at RM42,000
• Rumah Mampu Biaya (B), 1,935 units, priced at RM80,000
• Rumah Mampu Biaya (C), 1,610 units, priced at RM150,000
• Kedai Kos Sederhana Rendah, 242 shop lots, priced at RM200,000

In collaboration with a private developer, Denia Development Sdn Bhd (Denia), in October 2018, UEM Sunrise has delivered 4,839 units of affordable homes in Taman Nusantara and Nusantara Prima, located strategically adjacent to Nusa Bayu in Iskandar Puteri.

In June 2016, 351 units of Bayu Nusantara affordable homes were delivered to the home owners. UEM Sunrise also collaborated with Denia in developing 201 units of PR1MA houses in Nusantara Prima which were completed and handed-over in April 2017. Currently, 333 units of double-storey terrace houses are under construction in Nusantara Prima.

In addition, UEM Sunrise, in 2008, had allocated 60 acres of land adjacent to the Pontian-Johor Bahru Parkway to the State Government of Johor for the development of PRISMA (Perumahan Rakyat Iskandar Malaysia) houses.
