Tropicana partners with Raffles American School & University

7 APRIL, PETALING JAYA – Property developer Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana”) recently announced their partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with education provider Raffles Iskandar Sendirian Berhad in Johor. This collaboration offers local and international property purchasers in Johor an exclusive rebate, up to 20% of one-year school fees, when they enrol their child in the Raffles University and 5% for Raffles American School. This joint partnership reinforces Tropicana’s continued dedication to the education sector and the enrichment of their community-building efforts.

Joanne Lee, Tropicana’s Managing Director of Marketing & Sales envisioned the collaborative endeavour with Raffles as a milestone marker in the development of Tropicana townships in the Southern region of Malaysia.

“Staying true to our Tropicana mantra, we aim to redefine the art of living by providing wholesome environments for our future generations in all our townships across Malaysia. We are inspired by Raffles, our education partner, for instilling creativity and knowledge in their students. We hope to continue to raise the bar on education and learning, in every way we can. This MOU signing also signifies our interests in promoting Tropicana’s Southern developments by partnering with such a reputable brand like Raffles. We are confident that together, we will raise the bar and redefine the way we work, play, live, and the way we learn.”

Greg Pritchard, Raffles University Malaysia’s Director of Marketing Admissions and Communications affirmed the goals of the joint venture at the signing.

“The intention at Raffles is to support the growth of our students by meeting demands for quality education programmes. Our accredited school programmes have been developed for students of all ages from early childhood to postgraduate, with curriculums in fields from Design, Business to AI and Robotics. We’re future-proofing our students with the best practices in teaching and learning and with our collaboration with Tropicana, we’re poised to offer cutting-edge innovation in education” he surmised.

Tropicana has partnered with numerous international schools and world-class education providers such as Tenby, GEMS, and St Joseph’s Institution, with educational facilities in Tropicana Aman (Kota Kemuning), Tropicana Metropark (Subang Jaya), and Tropicana Indah (Kota Damansara). The latest MOU with Raffles signifies a cross-collaboration via the pillar of education for their Southern Projects developments such as Tropicana Danga Bay and Tropicana Danga Cove in Iskandar Malaysia, and Tropicana Uplands in Gelang Patah, Johor.

“Raffles American School offers various graduation pathways.” Lyle Moltzan, Superintendent of the Raffles American School highlighted in the ceremony. The collaboration offers buyers of the signature townships and mixed developments of Tropicana Danga Bay, Tropicana Danga Cove, and Tropicana Uplands rebates on school fees if parents opt to enrol their children at a Raffles American school or university. Raffles American School offers 5% rebates on one-year school fees for programmes from pre-kindergarten to high school while Raffles University offers 7% to 20% rebates on one-year school fees for programmes from foundation to postgraduate levels.
