Tropicana brings back Buggy Of Joy donation drive

test

“This is part of my family’s annual Thanksgiving contribution this year. Life has been difficult for many communities due to the pandemic. I hope Tropicana will keep up with its excellent work of supporting the needy and reach out to more communities.” Samuel Tan

22 NOVEMBER, PETALING JAYA – Tropicana Foundation, a charity arm of property developer Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana” or “Group”), is running its annual donation drive to collect dry goods and cash for underprivileged homes in the Klang Valley. Back for the second year, the “Buggy of Joy” donation drive got off to a good start thanks to a generous contribution from Tropicana’s employee, Samuel Tan. Samuel’s family contributed 10,000 disposable face masks, 600 packs of instant noodles, and 1,000 packs of instant coffee.

Dion Tan, Group Managing Director of Tropicana wants to promote the joy of rallying the community and its employees to give back to the underprivileged community.

“If there is a time to show the true meaning of Christmas – the spirit of giving and spreading joy – it’s during these challenging times. In conjunction with the upcoming festive season, we are kick-starting this donation drive earlier in the hope to collect more essential items for the underprivileged community. We urge the public to help us brighten the lives of others during this season of giving.”

The general public can contribute to the Buggy of Joy by dropping off dry goods at the Centre Court, CC Floor of Tropicana Gardens Mall between 10 November to 22 December 2021. Examples of dry goods include:

• Bulk dry goods – rice, oatmeal, noodles, biscuits, pasta
• Beverages – Coffee, milk powder, tea, baby milk
• Halal canned food – Sardine, baked beans, canned mushroom
• Cooking essentials – Salt, sugar, cooking oil, flour
• Healthcare products – Masks, sanitisers, cleaning solutions, toothpaste

The Tropicana Foundation also accepts cash donations via its CIMB Bank Berhad account number 8003575210. Visit bit.ly/BuggyOfJoy if you require a receipt for your cash donation.
