Petaling Jaya, May 23 – “Building this company into the brand it has become today is a continuous devotion and passion,” said LBS Bina Group Berhad (LBS) Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Lim Hock San on being awarded The BrandLaureate Brand Influencer of The Year Award 2016 – 2017. The Group received the award for the second consecutive year in recognition for its brand excellence, joining the ranks of other equally prominent brands in Malaysia recognised at The BrandLaureate BestBrands Award 2016 – 2017.
Honoured by the prestigious award, Tan Sri Lim Hock San said, “It is truly an honour to receive the ‘Brand Influencer of the Year’ award. Themed ‘Take responsibility of your brand for your brand integrity, quality and credibility’, the Awards which entered into its second decade, highlighted brands which demonstrated great brand value and strong brand equity.
As a listed entity, LBS has registered consistent financial growth year-on-year. In 2016, the Group delivered a total of 1,971 units and recorded RM1.238 billion in sales, surpassing its target of RM1.2 billion. Striving to achieve further growth, LBS plans to launch 12 new projects with a total gross development value (GDV) of RM2.349 billion, with the aims to achieve a sales target of RM1.5 billion in 2017.
Going beyond the boundaries of property development, community outreach is an area LBS takes much pride in. Spearheaded by its very own LBS Foundation, the Group carries out various community enriching initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for communities at large. Its activities are based on four main pillars, namely (education, community, environment, and health). Currently, LBS CSR activities are more focused on education and community, which make up about 85% of the total CSR.

The BrandLaureate Brand Influencer of The Year adds to a string of awards LBS has recently clinched. The Group was listed among Malaysia’s ‘Top 10 Developers’ at the Property Insight Prestigious Developers Award (PIPDA) 2017, while Tan Sri took home the ‘Personality of the Year’ Award.
