Sunway Iskandar notches a hat trick at iProperty People’s Choice Awards 2016

PETALING JAYA, 4 January Sunway Iskandar, Nature’s Capital City once again bagged the Best Township of the Year award at the iProperty People’s Choice Awards 2016 for the third consecutive year. The Award aims to acknowledge the best of Malaysia’s property industry from a consumer’s perspective.

Gerard Soosay, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Iskandar, received the award at the Gala Dinner held at Hilton Hotel, Kuala Lumpur recently. He thanked the voters for their continuous support and trust in Sunway Iskandar. “We are thrilled to win the Best Township of the Year Award for the third consecutive year. As Master Community Developer, the award is an encouragement for us to continue to build a sustainable development.

It is also a testimony of our passion in building a long term relationship in the communities we serve,” said Gerard. Sunway Iskandar, dubbed Nature’s Capital City, is Sunway’s largest township yet in ASEAN’s next strategic growth centre, Iskandar Malaysia, Johor. Spanning across 1,800 acres of land with a GDV of RM30 billion, the development will be a culmination of Sunway’s extensive experience in master planning communities.

The epitome of a liveable city, the value-generating hub will be integrated with six beautifully-crafted precincts with seafront living. Once completed, it will consist of world-class key components such as educational institutions, leisure hotspots, healthcare and recreation. It offers a world-class city balanced with the beauty of nature, making it a truly Nature’s Capital City in Iskandar Malaysia, Johor.

Sunway Iskandar also provides excellent connectivity to the residents and business owners with only a 5km driving distance to the Second Link via the Coastal Highway Southern Link (CHSL) which will be open in the first quarter of 2017. “I would also like to thank our dedicated Sunway Iskandar team for their hard work and effort in sustaining this prestigious Award year after year.

We have a great team and everyone has played their part in making Sunway Iskandar the Best Township of the Year and, most importantly, a liveable community,” added Gerard.

iProperty.com had received more than 100 entries this year. The entries were reviewed and shortlisted by a panel of judges comprising industry experts based on design, innovation, concepts, potential capital appreciation, developer’s track record, amenities, sustainability and more. Based on the shortlist, Malaysians were invited to vote for their favourite developers. An estimated 10,000 Malaysian took part in the voting this year, which doubled the number of voters from last year. The voting period was for over a month and the results were announced at the gala dinner.

Following the success of Sunway Citrine, Sunway Iskandar will be unveiling GRID – a fully integrated development that comprises retail, office and residential units with amazing flexibility. With direct access to Coastal Highway Southern Link (CHSL) and designed with excellent main road frontage, business owners will benefit from a free flow of patrons and great exposure.
