ISKANDAR MALAYSIA, TUESDAY, 29 AUGUST 2017: Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) continues to organize the Invest Iskandar Malaysia 2017 Symposium (Invest IM) – one of the signature events in conjunction with Iskandar Malaysia’s 10th anniversary celebration (IM10).
This symposium will feature a line-up of prominent speakers to share updates on the exciting developments in Iskandar Malaysia, latest Government policies and strategies which can open up more investment opportunities to existing and potential investors alike.
Themed ‘Shaping the Future Economy of Iskandar Malaysia, ’ the Invest Iskandar Malaysia 2017 Symposium will be held at Phoenix Hotel, Forest City, Johor on 3 rd and 4th October 2017. Invest IM 2017 will be officiated by YAB Dato’ Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Menteri Besar of Johor.
Datuk Ismail said this conference is a platform for the gathering of corporate leaders, policy makers, investors – existing and potential Iskandar Malaysia investors alike, and various professional practitioners from the public and private sectors as well as community leaders and influencers, from Malaysia and overseas.

For this year, the Invest IM 2017 Symposium offers three thrusts covering investments, green and digital economy. The event will bring together key thought leaders, capital market players, investors, potential investors, entrepreneurs and top business executives to closely discuss and spur forward thinking investment propositions.
Invest IM 2017 Symposium takes on a more global approach in promoting and drawing investments to Iskandar Malaysia. The target audiences will include potential Iskandar Malaysia’s investors in the nine promoted sectors, with key messages disseminated at this platform including Iskandar Malaysia being a choice location for new investments in the Southeast Asia Region.
IRDA announced Johor State Investment Centre (JSIC) as its strategic partner for Invest IM2017 as well as 13 sponsors at a media launch at Amari Hotel Johor Bahru today, led by YBhg Datuk Ismail bin Ibrahim, Chief Executive of IRDA. Also present are 14 partners and sponsors who are key players in the development of Iskandar Malaysia amongst others Forest City, UEM Sunrise, Johor Premium Outlets, IKEA.
