Johor, May 15 – UMLand Seri Austin was selected as the Corporate Value Champion and also bagged the Overall Value Champion at The Iskandar Malaysia Accolades (TIMA) 2016/2017. The inaugural awards was presented by the Johor Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hj Mohamed Khaled Nordin witnessed by the Chief Executive of IRDA, Datuk Ismail Ibrahim at the Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour, Johor.
By winning the Overall Value Champion award, Seri Austin has proved to comply IRDA’s values of Envision, Enable, Engage, Integrity and International Standing as well as Iskandar Malaysia’s vision to become a Strong and Sustainable Metropolis of International Standing.
Seri Austin is recognized as townships that contributed towards enhancing the quality of life in Iskandar Malaysia and are in line with the Iskandar Malaysia vision and objectives specifically in relation to sustainability and social equity. The winner were meticulously chosen by combining the scoring from the TIMA 2016/2017 committee members consisting of a panel of independent judges and the members of the public via social media voting process.
Seri Austin was recognised as the 1st Smart Healthy City and Communities Township in Iskandar Malaysia in 2014 and also the first in Johor to provide high-speed broadband (HSSB) Unifi Internet service to residents in township as well as also created the first ever designated bicycle lane in Johor. There is much other recognition of FIRSTs in Seri Austin.

The accolades ceremony was held in conjunction with Iskandar Malaysia’s 10th Anniversary celebration.
