2 July, SEMENYIH — The Setia Mayuri Welcome Centre and Show Village featuring the house designs for Phase 1 of Setia Mayuri was officially launched recently. An audience of over 500 came to witness the launch and subsequently, enjoyed an exciting programme of activities.
In his introduction of the new development, Dato’ Khor Chap Jen, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of S P Setia, said, “Setia Mayuri was conceived and planned with a clear vision in mind. We set out to create ‘Your Everyday Holiday Home’, one that would deliver exceptional exclusivity and serenity.”
Those who attended the launch would certainly attest to it as the general consensus was that the Welcome Centre and Show Village truly exemplified the Bali-inspired design concept of Setia Mayuri. Those who were familiar with S P Setia’s projects, agreed that Setia Mayuri, the developer’s newest venture in Semenyih, was poised to raise the bar for other developments in the area.

The highlight of the event was the spectacular launch gambit which was officiated by Dato’ Khor, Datuk Tan Hon Lim, Executive Vice President of S P Setia, and Koh Sooi Meng, General Manager of Setia EcoHill. This was followed by an auspicious lion dance performance.

In keeping with the Balinese concept of Setia Mayuri, the programme for the public included Bali-inspired activities like a Balinese mini spa, Balinese hair braiding, Balinese cooking demonstration, wood carving colouring, Balinese traditional costume makeover, Balinese dance and Gamelan performances. Other popular activities were tote bag painting, aroma candle making, Mayuri spray tattoo, giant kite flying and instant photo mug printing. Another attraction at the launch event was the Architect & Landscape Talk that further elaborated on the Bali-inspired landscaping within the vicinity and sharing basic home decoration tips that jive with the Balinese theme.
A Gem of a Development
Setia Mayuri comprises two residential precincts which resemble contemporary resort villages, and a commercial centre called Baris Place.
The residential precincts are made up of only 136 bungalows and 318 semi-detached houses, each with its own signature identity inspired by exotic holiday destinations across the globe. At just four to five units per acre, it is remarkably low in density which further enhances the exclusivity of the enclave.
In Phase 1, 46 units of semi-D and 18 units of bungalow are on offer. The semi-Ds range from 2,483 to 2,518 sq ft, and are priced between RM864,000 and RM1,154,000. The bungalows range from 2,878 to 3,563 sq ft and are priced between RM1,396,000 and RM2,048,000.

A crowd-puller was the lucky draw session that reflected an overwhelming purchasing interest from the guests. Those who registered and made a booking at the event were entitled to a lucky draw entry. Dato’ Khor and Koh drew six lucky winners who each walked away with RM10,000 cash rebates on their preferred Phase 1 units.
According to Dato’ Khor, every effort was made to keep the pricing competitive to ensure that these units are accessible to a wider audience. We are very pleased with the encouraging response of interested registrants.

Baris Place was launched in March 2019. Over 95% of its shop-office units were sold immediately, with buyers citing the excellent location facing Jalan Broga and within walking distance from the University of Nottingham as a major factor.
We are confident that the residential component of Setia Mayuri will also benefit from these advantages.
