20 October 2016- IOI Properties Group Berhad (“IOI Properties”) had announced its expansion and upgrading plans for the Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange (“BPP Interchange”). This RM20mil project is conducted in two stages and is wholly-funded and constructed by IOI Properties to enhance the connectivity of the township and to improve traffic flow between Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (“LDP”) and Bandar Puteri Puchong.
The first stage of works which consists of the widening of roads at Lebuh Puteri has been completed in April 2017. Therefore, the Group will proceed to the second stage of works which requires the BPP interchange to be closed to traffic coming from USJ, Shah Alam, Putra Heights and Putrajaya.
Upgrading works at BPP Interchange (Q3 2017 – Q4 2018)
• Existing ramp from LDP to Bandar Puteri (Putrajaya/Shah Alam/Putra Heights/USJ bound to BPP Interchange) will be temporarily closed from 23 September 2017 until end December 2018.
• Existing left-in junction into LDP from Jalan TPP 1/1 will be temporary closed.
• U-turn for local traffic underneath the BPP Interchange will be temporarily closed.
In order to minimize traffic disruption amongst road users, a traffic management plan offering alternative routes has been drawn up as follows:
Traffic from Putrajaya to Bandar Puteri Puchong
• Exit from LDP at the Puchong Perdana traffic light junction, turn right and proceed to Jalan PPU 1 (see Traffic Management Plan B), OR
• U-turn in front of Tesco Puchong (See Traffic Management Plan A)
Traffic from Shah Alam/ Putra Heights/ USJ to Bandar Puteri Puchong
• Take exit 1119 Puchong Intan interchange on LDP. At the Puchong Perdana traffic light junction, turn left and proceed to Jalan PPU 1 (see Traffic Management Plan C), OR

Traffic from Taman Perindustrian Puchong (TPP) into LDP
• To use the new alternative road alongside the LRT track and in front of the Castlefield Tamil School to enter LDP. Heavy vehicles are advised to follow directional signages to enter LDP via Jalan Sri Puchong 1.
IOI Properties Chief Operating Officer (Property Development), Teh Chin Guan hopes that the completed road widening at Lebuh Puteri in front of Giant Hypermarket, has eased traffic congestion and benefitted and road users.
“We hope our Bandar Puteri Puchong road users could bear with us during the ongoing works as it is to enhance the infrastructure and traffic flow in the area. We believe that the improved accessibility will continue to create value for the thriving business and residential communities of Bandar Puteri Puchong.”
Meanwhile, IOI Properties has since opened a newly constructed temporary road access located next to Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Castlefield on 9 September 2017. The access is to allow road users from Taman Perindustrian Puchong to access LDP.
The interchange is currently serving the 1,000-acre Bandar Puteri Puchong township with a population of an estimated 11,500 residents; and a thriving business hub of approximately 600 shop offices, 4 blocks of office towers at Puchong Financial Corporate Centre (PFCC) and Four Points by Sheraton Puchong.
Bandar Puteri Puchong is a mature township complete with excellent infrastructure including two LRT stations ie Stesen Taman Perindustrian Puchong and Stesen Bandar Puteri; interconnecting roads to its neighbouring developments ie Wawasan Puchong & Puchong Hartamas; and connection to LDP at three main points (ie at the township interchange itself, and at two other intersections into Puchong Perdana and Puchong Utama respectively).
