R&F Properties signs MOUs, partners Hyatt Hotels for R&F Princess Cove mega development

JOHOR BAHRU, 9 January: Hyatt Hotels Corporation has agreed on a strategic partnership with R&F Properties Co., Ltd for its maiden overseas project, R&F Princess Cove located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Hyatt will serve as the hotel operator for the R&F 5-star hotel.

The ceremony also witnessed the signing of 2 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs ) – the first between R&F Princess Cove and China Construction Third Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd for the construction of a CIQ Pedestrian link bridge was signed. The second one being an MOU between the developer and with MBO Cinemas, Voir Group, YFS, A-LOOK eyewear, SM+CY and Restaurant Todak for phase 1 of the Commercial Mall.

The shopping mall’s first phase will be open to the public in Q1 2018, along with with the coastal promenade district.

The signing ceremony, which was held at the R&F Princess Cove Johor Bahru Sales Gallery was witnessed by Dato’ Daing A Malek Daing A Rahaman,  accompanied by Johor State Secretary – YB Tuan Haji Azmi Bin Rohani, CEO of Iskandar Regional Development Authority – Yang Bahagia Datuk Ismail Ibrahim,  Town Mayor – YBhg. Tuan Haji A. Rahim Bin Haji Nin, Datuk Md. Othman bin Haji Yusof, Johor District Officer, Tuan Haji Mohd Halim  Hasbullah, while China Construction had its group’s deputy chairman  Liuzhen, Group Vice General Manager, Zhu Wenting and Hu Gangzhi in attendance.

A GAME CHANGER FOR ISKANDAR MALAYSIA ZONE 1 

The Johor Straits is expected to welcome an international leading hotel owner, Hyatt Hotels Corporation and R&F Princess Cove aims to change the current image of Johor Bahru CBD.

At the signing ceremony, R&F Properties Vice General Manager, Hu Gangzhi highlighted the project would benefit two nations once the project pedestrian link bridge and shopping mall are completed. He emphasised that this project will create opportunities for both countries.

Malaysia’s R&F Princess Cove project is the first brainchild of R&F Properties Group in the overseas foreign investment sector, amassing a total land area of 110 acres, with a gross building area of 36 million square feet. The project consists of residential development, commercial premises, coastal promenade district, philharmonic auditorium, 5-star hotel, and Super Grade-A office towers, once completed, is destined to be the first mega coastal community of international level closely neighbouring Singapore, soon becoming a stunning landmark between the national gateways of Malaysia and Singapore.

After 3 years of aggressive development, R&F Princess Cove gradually forms into shape, complemented by commercial, lifestyle, educational and other supplementary amenities. The fruitful agreement with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, the construction of CIQ link bridge and the signing of several anchor tenants will further enrich and enhance R&F Princess Cove, to serve all business owners, Singaporean tourists and Malaysian citizen in a better way, by providing homes and accommodation, offices, business opportunities, leisure and entertainment, all in all a one-stop service.

“I strongly believe that in near future, R&F Princess Cove will become the preferable first choice for Singaporean and Malaysian citizens in terms of business, lifestyle and leisure activities, in specific, an all-in-one integrated venue for all,” said Hu.
