R&F Development Sdn. Bhd., owned by one of the top China property developers namely R&F Properties has organised the 1st ever R&F Princess Cove Palm Challenge 2017. Eventually, the grand prize of a Hyundai Ioniq worth RM103,000 has been walked away by Er Teck Chuan, 49 years old from Muar, state of Johor, Malaysia on 27th May 2017.
R&F Princess Cove Palm Challenge 2017 received overwhelming response in search of the most determined contestant which required contestants to place their palm on the specific spot on the car surface throughout the contest period. This event attracted more than 1000 registrants and up to 450 contestants from 3 countries: Malaysia, Singapore and China. Held at “The Wedding Lawn” of R&F Princess Cove Sales Gallery in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, the event was highly honourable as a signature yearly outdoor event took place at the site.
During the preliminary stage which lasted 3 days long, a total of 6 sessions were carried out successfully to select 150 qualifiers who advance into the semi-final stage. Aside from sticking their hand on the car, the organiser also instructed the contestants to follow some designated postures, such as one or both legs standing on tiptoe as well as mannequin challenge to name a few.
Fight the Champion with Overtime Rally up to 100minutes!
On 27 May, a total of 24 of finalists took part in the grand finale challenge. In this 8-hour rally, the champion and the 1st runner-up defeated the rest of the 21 finalists in the final 30 minutes. Both of them strived beyond their limit with designated posture which is standing still with one leg on tiptoe for over 100 minutes. Lastly, Mr. Er crowned the champion when the 1st runner-up Mr. Tee Soon Huat, age of 24 fouled to lower his heel on the ground. He only won RM500 AEON cash voucher in the end. The 2nd runner-up was an engineer cum table-tennis coach – Mr. Han Lip Pong, age of 39 walked away with RM300 AEON cash voucher. The rest of the 22 contestants also won AEON cash voucher worth RM100.
