PRG Holdings To Explore Potential Halal Business Opportunities In China and Hong Kong

KUALA LUMPUR, April 14  — PRG Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned unit, Premier International Marketing Sdn Bhd (PIM), will collaborate with Felcra International Pte Ltd (FIV) and China Overseas Investment Union (OIU) to explore potential halal business opportunities in China and Hong Kong.

In a statement today, PRG said, the collaboration aimed to market halal products owned by Felcra Livestock and Agri Product Sdn Bhd and penetrate the halal markets of the two regions.

PRG Group Managing Director, Datuk Lua Choon Hann, said the collaboration was part of the group’s strategy to enhance its presence outside Malaysia and to boost its growth across diverse markets.

“Aside from our current investments in property development, construction and manufacturing businesses, we are always looking for investment opportunities in growth-driven businesses.
“This intended collaboration with Felcra and OIU is an example of such an opportunity,” he said.

The memorandum of understanding with regards to the collaboration will be signed on April 16, 2017, it said.

FIV is a wholly-owned unit of Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority.
