PR1MA open day: Best platform to buy a house

20 January, KOTA KINABALU – The PR1MA Corporation Malaysia (PR1MA) ‘Open Day’ held at The Klagan Regency 1Borneo Hypermall, here, until tomorrow is seen as the best platform for facilitating the purchase of a house, especially for the first-time buyers.

The programme from 9am to 5pm, acts as a one-stop facility for potential buyers to obtain the necessary information like the conditions for eligibility to purchase, with the participation of various financial institutions and agencies including PR1MA itself.

Private sector employee, Keliah Kidin, 29, said there should be more housing open day programmes held in Sabah to enable more people in the state, especially the youth, to be aware of the PR1MA projects and the conditions for eligibility to purchase, hence encouraging them to own one.

“Perhaps some people may not be able to buy a unit today but would work at owning one in future,” she told Bernama when met at the PR1MA @ Menggatal project open day, here, today.

“Besides, PR1MA also offers houses at affordable prices,” added Keliah, who also expressed her wish to own a valuable asset by purchasing a PR1MA house.

She said she had confidence in the corporation’s housing projects as it was part of the government’s initiative to help the people, especially those in the middle-income group, own a house.

“Currently, many houses built by the private sector are priced very high, while there are also cases of stalled housing projects while the buyers have already incurred costs,” she said.

Another visitor at the open day event, Mohamad Hamran, 44, said this was the best platform for him to obtain the necessary information like the criteria for eligibility to purchase a house, his first, as he is self-employed.

The PR1MA @ Menggatal project with a community lifestyle living concept, offers 1,200 units priced at RM243,000 to RM300,000 for a unit size of 850 sq ft to 1,000 sq ft, to be sold in the first quarter of 2018.

The housing project is equipped with various facilities including closed-circuit television cameras, a multipurpose hall, nursery and surau.
