PETALING JAYA, May 7 –Implementation of the 1Malaysia People’s Housing Project (PR1MA) by PR1MA Corporation has enabled many young people, especially those in their 30s, to realise their dream of owning a house.
At any events organised by PR1MA Corporation, youths will make time to go to the venue for an opportunity to be among the lucky applicants to be offered a PR1MA house.
To facilitate applications by those eligible, there are counters by the relevant agencies like the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Bank Negara and the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN).
For newlyweds Loi Pak Keong, 32, and wife, Thai Yew Kin, 26, they considered themselves lucky to finally being offered a PR1MA house.
“I had applied many times for the PR1MA house when I was a bachelor, but never succeeded. Now that I am a husband and to be a father in a few months, I finally got the offer, said Loi when met at the PR1MA Open Day here today. The couple got married two months ago.

A staff of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Zaid Ihsan Abd Mutalib, 32, expected his seven-year wait to buy a house to be realised soon through PR1MA .

The PR1MA houses are offered to Malaysians with a household income of less than RM15,000 and do not have more than one property.
There are 23 PR1MA housing projects nationwide to be offered to eligible buyers in the public and private sectors.
So far, 1.41 million Malaysians have registered with PR1MA for the house.
