test

3 March, KUALA LUMPUR —iProperty.com.my, Malaysia’s No.1 property site, with more than a decade presence in Malaysia, has recorded an all-time high milestone with over 10 million monthly visitsi. It’s clear the global pandemic has accelerated Malaysia’s property seekers in shifting to a digital platform.

After a slight dip in visits during the initial stages of MCO 1.0, Malaysia adapted, and the organic search visits on iProperty.com.my surpassed the 52-week average by +41% in June 2020 for subsale residential properties and +25% in July 2020 for residential rental properties. The recovery of visits to the platform shifted to an upward trend from July.

In addition to +51% Y-o-Y growth in visitsii, iProperty.com.my saw the level of enquiries through its platform increase by +20.4% in February when compared to February last yeariii (pre-MCO 1.0). The growth in property enquiries indicates property seekers’ confidence in the Malaysia property market which is on its road to recovery. It also indicates more property seekers are shifting to digital platforms as they enquire about properties.

Shylendra Nathan, iProperty.com.my’s General Manager said: “Malaysians have turned to the convenience and safety of digital platforms for their property journey which was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This new record high 10 million monthly visitsi achieved during unprecedented times represents property seekers’ confidence in the Malaysia property market, with the support from our property agent customers and property developer customers.”

iProperty.com.my 2020 Portal Demand Analytics released in January 2021 indicated the national demand for subsale residential properties improved to -1.3% from -2.5% in H1 2020.

“We are very happy to achieve this incredible milestone and a +51% Y-o-Y visits growthii in such trying times. This is a clear indication that iProperty.com.my is chosen by Malaysians as their most preferred online property portal brand. We will remain committed to providing the best consumer experiences and excellent customer value in the coming months through our products, property data, trusted property content and services,” concluded Shylendra.
