PNB will build 5,000 affordable homes nationwide

17 April, PORT DICKSON – Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), through its subsidiary, PNB Value Homes Sdn Bhd, will build 5,000 units of houses which are of quality, affordable and comfortable, nationwide.

PNB Group Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar said Port Dickson had been identified as the location for PNB’s pioneering housing project.

“The second project will be built in Pedas, Negeri Sembilan, while the third in Telok Datok, Banting, Selangor. The housing projects in the three locations will contain 2,000 units, which means we will build 2,000 units first and the remaining 3,000 units will be developed later.

“Currently, we are looking for suitable land in the states to build the remaining 3,000 units. The construction of the houses is in line with the aim of the government to provide more affordable homes for the people,” he told reporters after the launch of PNB’s first affordable housing project by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan in Bagan Pinang, here, today.

Commenting further, he said the affordable housing project here would commence in June and was expected to be completed by June 2020.

He said PNB’s affordable home here would be a landed residential property with an estimated area of between 900 and 1,000 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

A total of 140 units of 20′ x 70′ single storey terrace houses are offered starting from RM180,000 to RM200,000 according to land size.
