21 February, JOHOR BAHRU – A non-governmental organisation, Pertubuhan Ihsan Johor, is targeting to build 50 houses for the less affordable families this year.
Its founding president, Suhaimi Salleh is hopeful of the organisation, with the assistance of active volunteers, building at least five houses a month.
The organisation had built 20 houses with the help of volunteers last year, he said, adding that more than 700 volunteers have registered with the organisation and more than 500 of them are active.
“Ihsan Johor not only build houses, but it also provides other form of assistance through its Sekolah Ihsan Johor and Dapur Ihsan Johor,” he said at a program with the media last night.
He welcomed contributions from the public and corporate organisations, as well as their participation as volunteers.
