13 December, KUALA LUMPUR – IJM Land and Amona Development’s award-winning and integrated Pantai Sentral Park township in Pantai Dalam achieved another milestone with the highly anticipated opening of the Pantai Sentral Interchange today.

Built with a total investment of RM98 million (comprising operational, maintenance and land acquisition costs) and completed in 18 months the dedicated 2.8km interchange, which will be officially opened to all road users at 6.00 pm today, provides vital entry and exit points from the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) directly to Pantai Sentral Park.

Pantai Sentral Interchange – a smoother drive that cuts short travel time

Consisting of three ramps, the Pantai Sentral Interchange does not only service the Pantai Sentral Park development, but also complements the connectivity of local road networks serving Bangsar South, Pantai Hill Park, Kerinchi and Pantai Dalam areas. In addition to enhancing existing accessibility, the interchange will improve traffic flow in the surrounding areas by cutting short the usual traveling time from 50 minutes to 30 minutes during peak hours.

Held at the Pantai Sentral Interchange, the launching ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Works, YB Tuan Haji Mohd Anuar Mohd Tahir in the presence of Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai, YB Tuan Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil, Deputy Chief Secretary of Ministry of Works, YBhg Dato’ Abdul Razak bin Jaafar, Head Director of Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), YBhg. Dato’ Sr. Aziz bin Abdullah, officers from the Ministry of Works and the Malaysian Highway Authority along with representatives from IJM Land, Amona Development, IJM Corporation Berhad and NPE.

Commending both IJM Land and Amona Development for their commitment in making the city more accessible with the Pantai Sentral Interchange, Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Mohd Anuar Mohd Tahir, Deputy Minister of Works said: “The private sector’s involvement has been crucial in modernizing the country’s infrastructure, especially through the construction of new road networks and improvement of existing road networks. The interchange will not only benefit Pantai Sentral Park residents, but also the community and businesses in the surrounding areas.

It complements and adds to the extensive network of major roads and highways, providing quick, easy and direct access to NPE that links the development to the major hotspots of Kuala Lumpur and Bangsar to the north, as well as Subang, Sunway and Petaling Jaya to the south.”

Representing the developers – IJM Land and its joint venture partner, Amona Development, as well as the NPE concessionaire, Dato’ Soam Heng Choon, CEO and Managing Director of IJM Corporation  Berhad said: “We are confident that the dedicated access points will provide thousands of road users and commuters daily a more direct access to and from NPE, redistributing traffic flow and encouraging smooth traffic within the area.”

“The opening of the interchange also signifies an important milestone in the integrated planning of the Pantai Sentral Park township before the first handover of homes of its first phase of development – Inwood Residences. With 211 units, Pantai Sentral Park will be welcoming their first batch of residents in the first quarter of 2019, fulfilling its promise that the township would come with the desired connectivity, accessibility, amenities and infrastructure before residents move in,” added Dato’ Soam.

Following the handover of Inwood Residences in early 2019, Pantai Sentral Park’s second phase of development, Secoya Residences, comprising 243 units of residential condominiums will also be completed in 2019.

Apart from the new interchange, Pantai Sentral Park is reachable through Federal Highway, Kerinchi Link (SPRINT Highway), Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP Highway), MEX Highway (MajuExpressway), Jalan Kerinchi, Jalan Gasing, Jalan Pantai Dalam and Jalan Templer. The excellent connections will inevitably position Pantai Sentral Park as the new and robust Golden Triangle of Klang Valley, and one of KL’s most desirable addresses for residences and businesses, elevating our value proposition.

Pantai Sentral Park – an urban forest city that stays true to its “People, Planet and Priority” core values

Pantai Sentral Park is the result of a shared vision by IJM Land and Amona Development to build a city amidst an urban forest set adjacent to the 200-acre Bukit Kerinchi forest reserve. The 58-acre integrated township is set to redefine the landscape of Pantai Dalam with a liveable green city, seamlessly blending fine architecture with expansive tracts of nature while remaining closely connected to the city.

Consisting of 13 parcels – seven residential and six commercial phases, Pantai Sentral Park has an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM5.6 billion. These phases are expected to be completed within 10 to 15 years and will be home to some 15,000 residents. Pantai Sentral Park is on a mission to create a township where residents are able to live, work and play in a fully integrated development.

Committed to providing excellent infrastructure, the opening of the Pantai Sentral Interchange marks another significant milestone in the development of the township with the intent of improving connectivity, accessibility, liveability and commuting experience not just for those who reside in Pantai Sentral Park, but also for surrounding residents, commuters and motorists alike.
