Nurturing new talents – Gamuda Land launches Splashmania Logo Design contest

Splashmania water theme part at Gamuda Cove

16 June, PETALING JAYA – Caring for people and community has always been central to Gamuda Land. The developer today launched Splashmania Logo Design Contest, seeking to nurture and reward talented aspiring graphic designers. Open to all tertiary-level students residing in Malaysia aged 18 and above, the contest runs from June 15 to July 31, 2020 with total prizes worth over RM14,000.

Built and operated by Gamuda Land, Splashmania is an 18-acre water theme park, slated for completion by end 2021. Located along the Elite Highway with close proximity to KLIA and KLIA2, Splashmania is part of 1,530-acre Gamuda Cove township and is set to be Asia’s largest rainforest-themed water theme park. It will feature 28 exhilarating slides and rides, some of which are World’s First and Asia’s first.

Mindful planning for value creation

“We are deeply rooted in our town-making principles. And town-making is not just about building, it means more than just bringing the right components together for the community’s convenience, but also continuously and mindfully plan and work ahead to create value for our people and community. That said, instead of the conventional way of creating a new logo for Splashmania, we are reaching out to youths, as we understand their capacity to produce fresh ideas and at the same time, give them the opportunity to gain real-world experiences,” said Aaron Soo, Director of Leisure and Hospitality of Gamuda Land.

From the activation of interchange to the 60-acre central park, the laying of 5G infrastructure, the opening of Discovery Park and the work commensurated for the water theme park, the developer has placed careful deliberation and upfront investment to progressively materialise its vision for Gamuda Cove as a ‘Nature Sanctuary, Future City’.

An opportunity to shine

Gamuda Land is looking for enticing logos that reflect Splashmania’s theme of ‘Asia’s Largest Rainforest Water Theme Park with Thrilling Water Slides’. What makes such a theme park? It should exemplify feelings of fun, thrills and excitement, all within key elements of water, rainforest and sun. For some, this exudes best in bright colours such as in blue, green and yellow. What matters most is a logo that makes you want to soak in the fun!

Attractive prizes await

The grand prize winner stands a chance to win RM5,000 cash and 2-year Annual Passes for 4 worth RM2,000. Top five participants will take home RM500 cash and 1-year Annual Passes for 4 worth RM1,000.
