Newly rebranded property developer forges ahead following global partnership

19 September 2017, Kuala Lumpur: Boutique property developer, Puchong Kinrara Development (PKD), has rebranded itself as Meraki Land Sdn Bhd following its new partnership with a fund managed by PGIM Real Estate.

PGIM Real Estate is the real estate investment business of PGIM, the global investment management businesses of Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE:PRU).

Mutiara Bukit Jalil, Puchong Kinrara’s earlier development within its 57 acres of land in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, received overwhelming response due to its appealing design and practical layout of  469 units of  homes. Phase three of the project was completed in 2010.

The new entity will launch a similar scale freehold condominium project situated in Mutiara Bukit Jalil by the third quarter of this year.

“We’re confident that well-designed units with a good range of amenities, proximity to public transportation and strategic access to the major highways will draw the interest of genuine prospects,” says Justin Ong, CEO of Meraki Land.  “We believe in creating the kind of environment that we aspire to live in where amenities are secure, functional, sustainable and and geared towards community building.”

Ong is keen to establish Meraki Land as a company that develops properties built with pride and passion for those who value such attributes.

‘Meraki’ is a Greek word representing the essence, soul and creativity of one’s work. This one word literally channels Ong’s energy and drive in building homes based on thought and thoughtfulness.

“Most of us have in mind a picture of how we would want to live,” Ong says.

“Therefore, we build homes that we love where we ourselves would live in.”

Modelled to promote a communal environment, the new Bukit Jalil project comprises units ranging from 903 square feet onwards, targeting families of all sizes. Crafted with home owners in mind, the property ensures a model living environment with a fluid design concept based on space efficiency and attentive layout.

Ong believes that the next generation of property owners will be guided by a fresh sensibility where little things add up to make perfect sense to the overall composition of each unit.

For Ong, the Meraki mantra can be summed up as “Do it well or not at all.”

Meraki Land is actively seeking to engage talents with a sense of adventure, innovation and a daring spirit during its expansion phase while exploring potential future projects. For more information, please visit www.merakiland.com.my
