19 July, PUCHONG – IOI Properties Group Berhad (IOIPG) will gradually carry out works on a new traffic management plan for the intersection of Puteri 1, Puteri 2 and Lebuh Puteri with expected completion by 11 August 2019. The new scheme to enhance traffic flow will complement the traffic improvement plan already in place for several roads in Puteri 1, Bandar Puteri Puchong.
This is part of the expansion and upgrading works for the Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange. This RM63.9mil project is conducted in two stages and is wholly-funded and constructed by IOIPG to enhance connectivity of the township and to improve traffic flow between Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) and Bandar Puteri Puchong.
The traffic management plan includes:
• The opening of a permanent U-turn under the existing flyover of the Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange (Diagram A) and a temporary U-turn in front of Columbia Asia Hospital Puchong (Diagram C). Both U-turns will be opened to traffic on 24 July 2019.
• Traffic reconfiguration at the intersection of Puteri 1, Puteri 2 and Lebuh Puteri (Diagram B) that covers:
a) Traffic from Kuala Lumpur to Bandar Puteri Puchong will have the option to turn left into Puteri 1 commercial area or turn right into Puteri 2 commercial area (No 1).
b) Traffic from Jalan Puteri 1/5 can only turn left to Lebuh Puteri (No 2). Traffic heading to Puteri 2 or LDP can make a U-turn in front of Columbia Asia Hospital Puchong (No 3).
c) Traffic from Bandar Puteri Puchong towards Kuala Lumpur can turn left into the commercial areas of Puteri 2 (No 4) or make a U-turn under the existing flyover of the Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange (No 5) in order to get into the commercial areas of Puteri 1.
d) Traffic heading to Puteri 1 or residential areas of Bandar Puteri Puchong from Puteri 2 can turn left (No 4) and make a U-turn under the existing flyover of the Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange (No 5).
Note: Part of the intersection will be closed from 24 July 2019 to 11 August 2019 to facilitate traffic reconfiguration works.
