16 November, Puchong – The new Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange along Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) is officially opened by IOI Properties Group Berhad (IOIPG).
The opening of the interchange was officiated by Member of Parliament for Subang Yang Berhormat Tuan Wong Chen, Selangor State Assemblyman for Kinrara Yang Berhormat Tuan Ng Sze Han and IOIPG Chief Operating Officer (Property Development) Teh Chin Guan on 16 November 2019. The ceremony was graced by Timbalan Yang Dipertua Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya (MPSJ) Tuan Haji Zulkurnain bin Che Ali, Pengarah Wilayah Tengah Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM) Ir. Mohd Hadzmir bin Yusoff, Lingkaran Trans Kota Holdings Berhad (LITRAK) Assistant General Manager Mr Francisco Anthony Doss, MPSJ Councillor George Yap Kok Weng and other representatives from LLM, LITRAK and MPSJ.
Work on the interchange commenced in 2016 to enhance the connectivity of Bandar Puteri Puchong and to improve traffic flow between the township and LDP. Teh said the upgraded and enhanced interchange would benefit the community of Bandar Puteri Puchong as the township continues to thrive sustainably.
“In IOIPG, we continuously contribute towards the sustainability of the community within our township developments where accessibility and connectivity of the township is key.
“As a lifestyle influencer, we are passionate about designing exciting and sustainable lifestyle spaces,” he said.
The interchange is currently serving the 1,000-acre Bandar Puteri Puchong township with over 30,000 households and business owners, four blocks of office towers at Puchong Financial Corporate Centre and Four Points by Sheraton Puchong. Pavilion Service Apartment has been completed while upcoming development projects in the mature township includes Rio City (a mixed development comprising work and retail spaces, hotel and residences), Stellar Suites (a transit-oriented development and small office, versatile office tower) and The Cruise Residence (luxury condominium).
With these proposed development projects in Bandar Puteri Puchong, Teh said an enhanced infrastructure that ensured ease of traffic flow and improved accessibility would enable a community to thrive further.
“We expect the property value in Bandar Puteri Puchong to appreciate further with the new interchange serving the township,” he added.
The Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange works began in the fourth quarter of 2016 and was conducted in two stages. The first stage involved road widening works along the road shoulder of Lebuh Puteri fronting Citibank costing RM23 million. The second stage included the closure and upgrading of the ramp for motorists heading to Bandar Puteri Puchong from LDP from USJ/Shah Alam/Putrajaya/Cyberjaya as well as the closure and upgrading of the U-turn located beneath the Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange. The entire infrastructure upgrade is wholly-funded and constructed by IOIPG and will cost of RM70 million.
